Mad tea Bridal Party

OK my cousin is getting married in Disney World and I'm SUPER excited I want this to be the most amazing time of her life! I'm the maid of honor and she's been talking constantly about a mad tea party. Its sounds great but i can't get any info for it. I would love to have that as her Bridal Shower, but before i get anyones hopes up i to see if we can pull this off money-wise. I've seen a clip of it from the travel channel back in 08 but i can't seem to find anything else. Please help me

You can have tea party's at the GF at the Gardenview Lounge or you can book private ones but that'll cost quite a bit.

she was saying that you can have it in epcot?? For more money but i need a price point to start out with. Is there a website or something i look at??

I have never heard of one in Epcot. If she saw the one with all the large props it cost over 10,000 just for those props!!! You can have one in a privet room at the GF or I am sure other hotels that have rooms to rent out (which will cost a lot less). Depending on how many people you will have the key west room fits around 20 people and has a food and beverage minimum of $500 (which means you must spend that much on food which is not hard to do at all a mad hatter cake cost about $500) then any floral or table covers you want will cost more. There are rooms that will fit more people but the food and beverage minimum goes up for larger rooms. I also wanted to havce the mad hatter there and maybe alice? Not sure yet. We're going to have the dessert buffet. But i still cant seem to get any solid answers on the price of the deesert buffet and if you can have it in a park??

Most of the Epcot locations are outdoors, but there are some that are indoors. There is one room that has a circus tent feel that would be good for a Madd Hatter themed tea party. I'm not sure what it's called though. Most of the other locations, like Living Seas Salon, don't really make sense for a tea party.

Theme-wise, I think the rooms at the GF or BW would work best and have relatively low minimums. You can also rent out the Gardenview Tea room during off-hours for a private party.

The Attic at the BW might be a good spot for a tea party and you wouldn't have to spend anything on floral or decor.

the classic dessert buffet is the one i'm thinking sounds really yummy. thank you SO much that was really helpful, i'm not quite sure where to have it but outside sounds nice for a tea party. I just dont know where i can hold it??

They have something like this already at the GF but I think it's mostly for kids (the Wonderland Tea Party) but only a certain number of people are allowed reservations a day (I think it's like 24 or something). Maybe you can talk to someone at the resort about having you're party there on a particular day and book it up?

it would have to be before opening, but I think you could pretty much have it in any country.

I'm trying to keep this thing in budgetand its getting really hard because i want this to be awesome but as much as i wish i was im not made of money and there are other things i have to plan as well. SO I was wondering what is the F&B minimums were and ideally where is it "cheapest" to have a private party? I did find an outfit

When I worked in the UK pavillion at Epcot there was a tea party in the gardens in front of the bandstand with Alice and the characters but it was only for kids and for a limited time at Easter I think.
I'm sure there's a way it can be done in the park but it would be pricey!

If you want Alice and the Mad Hatter there you can not have them in the park at normal park times like when dessert parties are held because other people in the park will try to come see them. I was told you can not have them. I really think you would have better luck having it at the Grand Floridian. There are a lot less rules and you can have it any time you want. Also Alice and the Mad Hater are 1,200 for a half an hour in cause you did not know the price. I think it is $900 for one. I hope you figure everything out!

I've ditched the idea of having them be there i found out how much and no thanks i'll have my dad dress up and be "madd" for that kinda money But I was thinking of having a Illuminations dessert Party in Epcot on the upper terrance of the UK the rental for the place is $325 which is not bad there isn't a F&B minimum. And I'm thinking of have a sunshine Dessert Party. With taxes included we can easily have it here. There is a 20 guest minimum but i think we can handle that. We are night time people so i don't think she'll mind espcially because she LOVES IllumiNations Idk, if your a bride would it bother you to have your bridal shower at night??

If they are for decorating make sure you check that you can use them. Usually with outdoor locations they do not let you decorate yourself Disney must do it because other people walking around could see it and it reflects on Disney I guess. But if they are for favors you should be ok.
