Hi all,

I'm hoping for an Intimate wedding in 2006 at Sunset Point. Coming from the UK I will only have a small handful of guests. I know you get the cake/champagne reception but I'd quite like a small reception/meal for my guests.

I have an old copy of the Wedding video and they mention a Mad Hatters Tea Party. Does anyone know the location? Where's it held/cost etc. I really want Donald & Chip n Dale and understand the costs for them is in 30 min slots. Would they be able to attend the Tea party?

I've also seen a few mentions on these boards of Dessert parties - What and where are these?

I did read about the Tea Party but I can't remember where I saw it....I want to say it would set you back a few thousand dollars, I remember.

The mad hatters tea party was on the fairy tale wedding special on the food network. I remember a post here right after that premiered, but if I remember correctly, it was around 15,000 dollars for 20 people or so. If that is wrong, someone please correct me! I hope that helps a bit!

check out the yourfairytale.com website run by andrea she has info listed about reception, special dinners facilities with prices & some catering menu's, there's also a decent amount of info to go off of on for entertainment & the dessert parties which are at some epcot world showcase location on/near the lagoon and at mgm studios fantasmic terrace. check with disney for up to date prices & availability though. there's a link on their new website disneywed.com for a you click, we call to get more info from disney directly.

you can also book a ps (priority seating) at most wdw restaurants for a informal/formal dinner in the resorts/parks but you cant where your wedding attire in the parks. (unless wdw reception through disney like american adventure rotunda reception, italy isola reception or dessert party to name a few)

do a dis search on the mad hatter tea party, i remember reading a post too about info/price which was expensive.

We did a Mad Hatter's Tea Party at the GF convention center for my bridal shower. It was awesome. Nowhere near the price posted above, you can adjust the price by how much theming and what types of food you choose. We had tea, sandwiches and desserts, a "lopsided" cake, pretty tables with bright tableclothes and tea cups/plates and centerpieces in Mad Hatter hats. The Mad Hatter and White Rabbit attended -- really a great time! I'd talk to Disney Fairytale Weddings -- I'm sure they can supply you with price lists depending on what you want.
