hey, Chatters! I got a lot of sleep and a nice hot shower, so I do feel a little better today! :dance3: Bring on Tuesday!

The weird thing is that I don't have other symptoms to help identify what the heck is wrong. Lethargy, super achy neck, shoulders and back, and heavy lungs. It's been like that for a week or so. I was ralphy for a few days last week too, but that stopped and I still have these same symptoms. It's weird. Can't wait for it to go away.

Ok, I sound like Eeyore! No more Debbie Downer talk from me this morning.

How's everybody doing? It's almost spring, can ya feel it? :cool1:

OMG all of you must get better soon.

In our county school was canceled today and tomorrow because of illness.

Get well soon.

Hi Granny!

The whole county was canceled? Holy cow! What's going around? The flu?

I think you must be coming down with something, or not recovered from last week's bug! You need to take it easy for a few more days! I kept Riley home today-- he is still under the weather. I'm thinking he'll go back Wed, and then Friday is his last day! For part of the day, I cleaned out the laundry room, the fridge, did 4 loads of laundry, painted with Riley, and read Green Eggs & Ham 3 times. Then I made dinner and cleaned the kitchen. I am TIRED!

I decided tonight that I am going to pretend Reece and Riley are girls, and make them start helping me around here like my sister & I did for my mom. I just can't handle it all by myself anymore, especially if I'm going to try to do some work from home too! :crazy2:

Night Bon! Text me tomorrow if you get a chance.

Ok, Shannon, I'll text ya! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you got a lot accomplished today! Are you already loving having Riley home with you? I hope the poor little guy feels better soon.

What are you gonna do today?

Trisha! I miss ya lady! Don't stress this week!

Good Morning Chatters!

I know what you mean! I danced for 12 years, and I have mangled toes and bad knees to show for it!

Still doesn't explain your man hands though.

:scared1: What are you doing to these poor boys? Emasculating them at such a young age! Ok, I'm just kidding. Do it Shannon. All of our boys do cleaning chores at least once a week -- even DS6 can run a vacuum (though he will occasionally vacuum items up that shouldn't have been) and put stuff away. DS10, DS12, and DS15 each clean a bathroom (I get the fourth one). DS12 and DS15 do about 2/3 of their own laundry (their clothes and the towels and washclothes they use) washing and drying and about 1/3 of their own clothes folding (they're supposed to do all of it but DW gets impatient especially when they have the washer and dryer all tied up with their clothes in it and forget about it for anywhere from 5 to 105 hours  ).

Bonnie! That sounds a lot like what I have. I don't have the heavy lungs but then my chest isn't as big as yours. :upsidedow I also haven't been Ralphy (only Rob) but I've got the other stuff. It sucks -- I don't know whether I should go into work (and only work at about half-speed is all I'm capable of) or stay home.

Good morning, Judi. It appears that you are in a good mood. What did you do last night? ;)

Good Morning Chatters!

I agree, my girls do a lot of chores. They help me a lot. Even Ains (age 6) can help fold laundry, vacuum, or clean a bathroom. She even helps me load the dishwasher.

Hmmm...wonder what it is. I don't think I have ever had this before. If you find out what you have, let me know! Hope you feel better soon.

I just want to remind you people that March 1 is National Pig day. Do with that information what you will.

What are you gonna do today?

I think you get a "Free Debbie Downer Pass" when you're sick! I am loving having Riley at home. We haven't really done much, but I have a lot of plans for when he gets over his cold. I'm thinking about putting him in Soccer Tots. The kid is a Supernova! As for today....:confused3 He wanted to go on a pic-a-nic, but the weather is iffy. Not sure yet!

Hey Chatters! Happy Tuesday or whatever.

Bonnie, have you been tested for mono? Just a thought. Stop kissing feet.

Shannon, I'm with you about making my boys help around the house. There are somethings I'm too anal to let them do, but there is lots they can do.

Rob, feel better! I avoided the crud that was going around our house and the boys school and so did my youngest. But he the nastiest human on earth, he'll put anything in his mouth no matter where its been.

Mel, hope your feeling better and I put in an order for de-icing pronto. Unfortunately, my order here hasn't been filled yet. I'm sick of winter.:headache:

Have a great day!

Hi Granny!

:

Yes the flu and only about half of the school was showing up and some of those were sick.

Sure sounds like you might have mono to me or Epstein Barr Syndrome. Grandson and I were both diagnosed several years ago. EBS is similar to mono and raises its ugly head when it wants.

.

Wow! You know it's bad when that happens. Hope you and the family are spared!

I bought some med at CVS called Sambucol that is supposed to help fight off this winter junk. You take it 4 times a day if you feel it coming on but for preventive measures you take it 1 time a day. DH and I are taking it 2 times a day for good measure. And my hands are wrinkled from all the hand washing and purell stuff.

Have a good guys. I HAVE to get started on a pirate costume I am making for a friend's daughter. If I stay on here much longer she will be wearing material draped around her. :scared1:

:cheer2: Mel congrats on getting your diploma. And how is the diet going today???Hope that your wrist is feeling better...you be careful when going out.
Diet went well yesterday. Its going well today so far...although it looks like Shaun & I may be going out to eat tonight.

Meli -- I haven't been meaning to ignore you and your injured wrist and sore bottom and the diploma you have now received (congrats!).
Rob, its ok ;)

I know what you mean! I danced for 12 years, and I have mangled toes and bad knees to show for it!
If only we knew back then what it would do to us later...

Good! I'm ready for the winter to end and this ice to go away. I don't think my body can handle much more abuse.

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone's day is good and people are starting to feel better.

Good afternoon, Chatters! :yay:

I just got back from Granny's favorite shopping establishment...CVS. I got pictures of my class developed, plus purchased a card, some yummy snacks and a bubble mailer. We are sending a care package to one of my students' dad, who is serving over in Pakistan. The kids all made him a picture and wrote him a message, like "Thank you", "We miss you" and "Thank you for protecting us". Hope he likes it! We've enjoyed putting it together.

Yeah, I don't recommend a picnic today, Shannon! It seems like a rather blustery day. Just sayin'. Soccer tots sounds like fun!

winnie_the_pooh_rain.gif

For National Pig day, I'm doing a cooking project with my class. Can you guess what we will be making? That's right...pigs in blankets! Plus, I'm going around to a few of the classes and reading Three Little Pigs. But I have this paper wolf head that I put around a blow dryer (his mouth is a hole, where the nozzle fits thru). When huffs and puffs I will turn my blow dryer on and blow everyone! :yay:

Hi Becca! Mono? Hmmmmm....I'm not sure what the symptoms are for that. But if I don't feel better soon, I'll go to the doctor.

Granny, you are a veritable cornucopia of knowledge. You are mighty useful to have around. And I particularly enjoyed your pig-calling demonstration. You sounded so real and life-like. ;)

Hi Lisa! How's it going, hagnificent? How is your DH?

Crickets??? Lisa, are you camping? Or just trying to say we're boring????;)

That is too funny! The kids will love that!

You're going to cook Piglet?!?!?! :scared1:

-- Rob

That totally reminds me of a story from one of our WDW trips... We were eating at the Crystal Palace (or is it THE Crystal Palace?), and were waiting while Piglet finished up at the table in front of us.

Being the nosy, eavesdropping family that we are, of course we were listening in when the boy at the table (probably 8 or 9) offered Piglet his bacon. Actually, it was more of a forceful shove of his bacon into Piglet's mouth! Piglet pretended to choke and faint, and the mom said "Rob!!! (or whatever the kid's name was) You can't give Piglet bacon!"

Of course, the child wasn't comprehending that he was in essence making Piglet go all "Alive" on him. (Anyone see that movie? Yikes.) Nothing like a little cannibalism to get your day at the MK started!

"Rob" just happened to be the name you picked completely at random for your cute little story, eh?
