Mad As Rabbits: A Disneyland pre-trip report.

WELL!!! It's about time don't cha think????:snooty: ;)

Once when I was 16. It was a VERY long van ride. 3 Days. With my parents my brother 2 of my sisters and myself!! But it was SOOO Much Fun. We went there and to Knotsberry Farm!!!:thumbsup2

OOHH *SHUDDER* i can feel that whip in the air!!

Yeah she has been a bit lazy huh?

Then it has been way too long for you. Knottsberry Farm is still there and it is much cheaper to go to than Disneyland. I don't think it is as good either but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Great minds think alike I was wishing I had a whipping smiley!:rotfl:

Thanks I'll keep them. Kody is a natural born ham. She has never met a mirror or camera she didn't like.

I am going to get the 5 day park hoppers. Even if we only spend a half day longer there it is still a half more at my happy place.:goodvibes

You know I really want to stay onsite but the difference in price is so huge I get guilt pangs spending it on the hotel. And I also have been looking a the deals they are offering at the resort hotel for earlier in the year and I am thinking of double booking and then dropping the one I don't want when the time comes. I mean 5 days for the price of 2 at the reosrt is amazing. That is almost enough to make me change dates. Hmm I must consider this option. Scotty is getting awful tired from major overtime.

I am still on the fence with my Mom, I know her feelings will be hurt if we don't include her but I also know she didn't enjoy the last trip and only spent a little time in the parks. Who knows. More on this later.

Argh the Jonas Brothers. I have seen so many pictures of those boys my eyes burn.:rotfl:Sorry Kody. Great musicians no.

Unforunately I don't have pictures from our 2005 trip. I bought throw away cameras and some where along the line they all got lost. Sherry E has a great trip report full of pictures from her Christmas trip this year. Be sure and take a look at them. And I am going to try to be better and add more later.:goodvibes

Well every family should have a ham to make up for those camera shy ones. I would say more about the pros and cons of offsite/onsite, but I see from reading on that some changes have already happened on that front - lol.

We are changing our trip dates! Instead of going in December we are going in August. This excites me so much becuase of the date changes we are getting to stay one more night and most likely stay onsite! Also because we always go off season we never usually get to see Fantasmic or the fire works this time we will get to see both. I am even more excited than I was before! And it is so much sooner! Yay!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Whoohoooo!!!! Sounds like a wonderful deal - I know you'll have fun :cool1: Just pack lots of sunscreen and lots of patience for waiting in line ;)

I WISH!!!! Driving time Disney World is 14hrs and 55 min according to mapquest and Disney land is 23 hrs 21min. Hmmmm Looking at it like that it doesn't look like that big of a difference huh???

Hehehe, yeah - not that much more of a difference ;-] Very cool that the two of you will be there at the same time!

Okay, now that you have the dates/place pretty much set, what are your plans? Itinerary anyone? *poke poke* :rolleyes1

Well we will be at different parks..but we have a solution. We shall text each other and send random pictures.

Argh! I shall now endeavor to start a itinerary.

:rotfl2:

We will be leaving to go on the Mad as Rabbit's tour on either the ninth of August or just after midnight on the tenth.

Now I am confuzzled as to whether I want to do what we normally do which is pick Scotty up from work at 7 PM and get down to Disneyland about 2 AM and stay somewhere cheap for the night. Or we can drive to Coalinga and sleep until about 4 AM and leave to go the rest of the way.

Or there is the Monday morning addition which is leave home at about 1 AM or so and drive all the way through and deal with yucky Monday traffic. I am thinking that I want to drive straight thru on Sunday August 9. No rush hour traffic. I just need to make sure that someone will hold a room until the middle of the night. I am sure that won't be a problem. I need to research the place now.

In the morning we will pre-register at whichever DLR hotel I pick. From past experience I have learned that if you pre-pregister you get a better room. It's the old early bird catches the worm. After we do that and leave our bags with the wonderful CM's and go in search of breakfast. I think that we will probably grab a quick meal at Ralph Brennan's quick serve side. They have a pretty good breakfast, we have had it before. After we eat we will be heading over to visit Mickey and friends!

Well you know I think I should do a PTR and TR since I've done so well completing my other one!!!

This trip for me is kind of a triumphant return to Disneyland after being so sick last trip. There are so many things that I haven't done for years that I will be doing this trip. My Mom usually comes with us and will usually only ride Small World, Pirates, and Haunted Mansion. Oh and the train and she expects me to sit with her and keep her company while everyone else rides. Well this trip even if she comes I will be riding every ride I have ever wanted to ride and haven't like Splash Mountain. Yes, I am going to be a kid again. And I am so excited.:cool1:

I want to ride it all. Well all except California Screamin' and the Oranges....and well a few others that i just don't like but...you know!

I have a list of Wont's:
Tower of Terror
Mulholland Madness
Maliboomer
and the rides around the Orange Stinger (just not interested in them)

Astro Orbitor (again, no interest)
Autopia...unless I have to....not comfortable & bore me to tears
Splash Mtn....just don't like not feeling secure in a ride vehicle....no belts, no where to brace feet (they slide from all the water already in the boat)

I guess that's about it....think I've done all the rest!!
So pretty short list!

I do believe somebody is at a concert tonight, correct?

Yes, and I was just texting with her. She is in line for a meet and greet with the Maine. She hates waiting in line.:lmao:

We agree on most of those. Except I want to try Splash Mountain, especially since we are going in August now.
