We are planning to see the Macy's Parade at US but I'm wondering which day would be best?

We could go on Friday January 3rd or Sunday January 5 - do you think the Friday would be less crowded, or would the big Xmas crowds still be around then?

The reason I'm asking is that it's looking likely that I will have to use a wheelchair, due to a foot problem which is refusing to get better, and obviously the less crowds the better.

It will be our first visit to US but we are not into the 'big rides' but we would like to get a good view of the parade if possible, do US have reserved areas for wheelchairs? I also have two children (9 and 12) to consider.

Any help with this would be great!

BTW, does anyone know the time of the parade yet?

Thanks :D

On January 2nd, the parks basically clear out!!! I would imagine Sunday would be even less crowded than Friday (although more locals might be there for one last viewing ;) )

I don't think you'll have to worry much about crowds on either day though, the day after New Years the parks turn into a whole different ballgame! - it's an odd thing to experience if you're there for NYE and then come back a couple of days later!

Have fun!
