So is there any difference between the three models? Is it just accessories? I am most concerned about the seat part of the stroller itself. I had my dd sit in one at Target to try it out, and now I am thinking of buying one online. My concern is if I buy a 2007 one online or 2006 I don't want it to show up and have the seat be much shallower or shorter back height etc. Can anyone help me out here? Also any recommendations as to where to or not to buy online so I don't get a knockoff, or one with replaced parts etc.

Thanks,

Kate

I can't answer your question . . . I'm sorry.

I just bought a Volo at Target two weeks ago and I LOVE it. It is so easy to steer and my son loves sitting in it. he seem very comfortable.

the 2006 does not have a raincover.

i bought a 2007 online, but this was before the 2008s were in the stores. so i only tried out the 2007. there is a difference between the 2007/2008 in the style of the seat, but i would assume the dimensions are the same. the mesh part of the fabric is in a different position on the two. it also seems that the harness clip is different on the 2008.

just to keep in mind... the one they have at target is not the "regular" volo. the seat is entirely mesh. on the other volos the seats are a lightweight fabric with small areas of mesh. i would try out one at babiesrus if you're thinking of getting one of the regular/colored volos. the fabric is different and the child might sit differently depending on the stretch. i tried them out at babiesrus and bought two on ebay.

i bought them off babyproductstore. they were shipped out within hours of placing my order and i got a shipping discount for the two. they were in unopened boxes and i am very happy with them. i actually just bought another for a gift. they were about $57 + shipping, so significantly cheaper than buying in-store. (the ones i got were $120 each at babiesrus)

Hi, I currently have 3 volos sitting in my house! One is a 2006 (I believe, purchased first) one a 2007 and one a 2008. Only difference I know of is that the 2008 model came with a rain shield included, love that! The 2006 is slightly different in that the seat section (part you actually sit on, not lean your back on) is all the mesh fabric. The 2 newer models have a fabirc type seat that is usually colored a different color than the mesh part. I have seen 2006 in both silver/grey and black. they have both had the all mesh fabric seats. The mesh is actually a sronger seat in my opinion but otherwise I see no difference at all.

I am seling my 2006 b/c I bought it for a visiting family member and no longer need it but am keeping my 2007 and 2008 models for the simple fact that my 2 kids who use them think the color indicates whose stroller it is! DS5's is silver/tangerine and DD2's is silver/turquoise! The seats in the fabirc ones are actually a bit dirtier than the all mesh one of a lighter color.

Otherwise the size, height, seat depth, wheels and everything are identical.

and peanut1 if you are on the thread I am sooo sorry I haven't caught up with you yet! leaving for Disney on Monday!

tzolkin -

That is very helpful info about the Target one being different. I didn't know that the Target version was different than the regular one. I actually liked the stretchyness of the Target one because my daughter is 48 lbs. and I think it made it comfy for her. Now I will have to go try one at Babies R Us before I buy online, to make sure I like the cloth one too. Thanks for the tip.

for some reason I thought the 06 model didn't recline but the 07 model did recline. Anyone know if that's true?

I can't believe there is a post on this-perfect timing. I am looking for a volo for my 7yr old who has some orthopedic problems with her knee and hip. She needs a stroller for vacations and NYC trips. I put her in the one in Target and her knee was not able to rest comfortably(too much of a bend). Went to Babies R Us yesterday where we tried 7 liteweights. The volo marked with a ship date of Nov 2007(coffee with mesh and fabric) was comfortable for her. They had a 2006 crimson(looked like the target one) and a all mesh black one(didn't notice year) on clearance. The coffee colored and black one had a slightly different foot rest that was more comfortable, and different handles(curve was different). I didn't see any 2008's unless the coffee one was.

I did not ask about any other differences, as I was more concerned about her fit and comfort. I was going to order a 2006 off of ebay, but now I am so glad I didn't. I will need to do more research, but I think they did change the foot rest and handles. These changes probably won't affect the average person. I will be interested to hear any other differences from the Dis folks.

I second the suggestion of going to Babies R Us to try them and don't forget the clearance section-ours had 5 and she told me she could take more off the price.
