Maclaren Universal Organizer

Is the Maclaren Universal Organizer any good? I want to buy it for my Mac Sport to have some extra space to hold stuff but I would like some opinions before I buy it. Do you like it? Does it hold a baby's bottle, sippy cup or bottled water?

I'm kind of undecided on it. It holds bottles, but not cups. Well, you can fit cups in it, but beware, lids might pop off when you least expect it, or they may fall out. We don't use it too much for drinks because of it. I do like the fact that it has a smaller pocket in the middle (I like to put the car keys in there), and the pouch has been a god send. Just remember, if you put stuff in it, make sure you hold the handles when the kid gets out!! We had the pouch so loaded that when DS3 got out, the stroller flew backwards spilling everything! LOL Both DS found that quite funny and stood there laughing while I had to clean up spilled drinks! I learned my lesson there!

I have one for my Maclaren Triumph. Here's what I like about it:

storage space
bottle holders (best thing - most useful)
extra pouch I use to put the park maps, etc.

Here's what I don't like about it:

pack too much, stroller will tip
can't fold up the stroller with a lot of stuff in it
It attaches via velcro straps, ours kept falling off b/c it was too heavy so DH jury-rigged it with those plastic ties to keep it from falling off

I like using it. I like that it's soft so you can fold it up with your stroller (as long as there isn't too much stuff in it). I use it with a Maclaren umbrella stroller. I had 2 water bottles, pal mickey, a couple of diapers a few other things and it did not tip when my DS got out of it but any more than that it would tip.

There was another thread about this about a month ago that I came across. There was some posts about Carry You Pescara saddlebags and the Demi Milan. From what I understand they are like the mac organizer. One of the people said they prefered the saddlebags, since it didn't cause the stroller to tip.

We bought the Carry You Demi Milan for our Maclaren recently. It's very light, made of cloth so it can fold up with the stroller, and would hold a regular size Disney soda (which I think is 20 oz) in its cup holders. I am a little concerned that if we filled the pouch and put 2 full cups in it that the stroller would tip over, so we're not going to load it too full.

I liked mine until it made the stroller tip -- every time! I tried just a couple of diaper/wipes, water bottle and park maps and it would keep on tipping. I just bought the Skip Hop saddlebag yesterday and so far so good! No tipping at the store this morning. It holds about as much as the universal but with only one bottle holder. I think we're going to get the Demi Milan as well and then that'll be perfect -- does that exist with strollers?

Thank you for your replies! I bought the Maclaren for Disney b/c my Graco was too big to bring. I love the lightness of the Maclaren and the easy of wheeling it, especially while we were in WDW.

Now that we are home and I'm going to the mall again, I miss the cup holders and storage on the Graco!! My Graco broke and I miss the storage it had so I was hoping the organizer would help.

I got mine at Babies R Us -- but it wasn't with the rest of the diaper bags. It was on a display end cap way in the back of the store past the strollers.

On the skip hop web site they have a listing by states of stores that carry their products. I called the specialty stores in our area, but none carried the saddle bags. I also had no luck at our local babiesRus.

In the end I ordered my skip hop saddle bag off of Amazon (pink camo - cute!) and it works really well on my Mac Trimph. We were all over Disney last week and then on a cruise and we were really pleased with it!
