Maclaren Twin or Combi Twin?

I am looking to purchase a new double stroller for when we go to Disney next year. At the time the kids will be 5 yrs and 2 yrs. I have seen the Combi Twin in person and pushed the kids in it and was fine but I keep hearing about how great Maclaren's are. My biggest concern is that I do not kick the wheels while pushing it ( I am 5'7 and DH is 6'1) and the kids are comfortable. What is everyones opinion?

THanks!

I have seen the Maclaren Triumph and the Quest - single models. The handles are taller than most umbrella strollers. I'm also about 5'7" and I don't remember hitting the wheels. They had a small storage basket underneath and both models recline.

Everyone does really like them on the boards. I just couldn't buy one-I'm going with the Perego P3 for my niece.

Is the Maclaren twin a lot more than the Combi? Are the features the same?

Have you checked out the stroller thread?

I have a Combi single and a Mac double (Twin Techno). I LOVE my Mac! :thumbsup2

First, the way it folds is SO nice- like am umbrella stroller- and it is very lightweight. Pushes great and I never kick the wheels. Plenty of space underneath and individual recline seats. Each seat holds up to 50 lbs. My almost 6 yr. old and 3 yr. do great in it and it fits easily through doorways. This stroller was a god-send at Disney as it is easy to get on/off the busses. My friend who had her jogger was so jealous!

I'd say that you should go to Babies R Us with your kids and "test drive" both, but I wouldn't trade my Mac!;)

Thanks for you responses! The Combi is about $50-$60 less than the Maclaren Twin Triumph. I have called several Babies R Us and none of them have the Mac on display. I don't know if I should just order the Mac and hope I like it. That alot of $$ to spend and then end up not liking the stroller.

I don't know what to do!:confused3

I loved my twin combi - folds up so nice and small, and I loved the cup/snack holders (which are removable). I'm 5'8", DH is 5'10", and I've never kicked a wheel. I've had a total of 11 stroller, single - double - triple, so I know my strollers! :thumbsup2

When we had baby #2 we went and checked out the Combi and the Mac Twin Techno. We went with the Techno and absolutely LOVE  it. IMO, the Combi is much narrower than the Mac, DS3 looked really cramped in it.

To the OP, if you are going with the Mac, which we have and really like, I am 5'8" and DH is 6'2", check out the prices at albeebaby.com, so much cheaper and free shipping.

I owned a Combi single- once- and never again!! It was the worst ever stroller. Very narrow, short, and the frame was not sturdy at all. I was so glad to get rid of that thing. Once my DD was about 2 it wouldnt push worth a darn and my DD was very tiny. I didnt even get it until she was over 1. Im not sure if they have changed now. Its been a few years, but we now have Macs and I feel they are much better. I had never seen one in person until mine came in the mail and I just love it. I ordered because of the great reviews they get on these boards. I got a Volo first and then ordered a Quest when we were expecting DD10 mos. I got mine from albeebaby.com at a great price!!
