I am considering buying 1 maybe two of these strollers for my two children (2.5 year and 3 months)...

How do you like yours and what kind do you have? How does it handle with a toddler/almost 29lb 3 year old? How does it handle with a 5-6 month old?

I bought the Daytripper. I love it! I did alot of research on umbrella strollers and I think this one is great. The handles are longer than most umbrella strollers, it has a basket underneath and it reclines slightly. It can be a bit hard to recline but other than that its perfect. Another great feature is that it has a rain cover to keep your child dry. I also found a few websites that sell sunshield made for this stroller and I am seriously considering purchasing one. I think no matter which Mclaren stroller you buy you will happy. I hope this helps.

I researched this for months last year!!! I debated and debated about the Maclaren because of the cost, my son was already 3 so it was a serious investment! I ordered a Maclaren knockoff and knew instantly I made a mistake, returned it and ordered the Maclaren Triumph. I love it!!!!! I still love it!! We used it nonstop for 8 days in WDW and 7 days on the Disney Cruise. My son was already 48 lbs so there weren't many strollers that would accomodate him. This one was perfect! He had plenty of shoulder room, leg room and head room. It has the built in canopy, rainshield, basket underneath, reclines, folded in a cinch and has a shoulder strap to carry it by. It is the only stroller I have used since. I will be bringing it again come April 30th, when we head back to FW for a week!!!!

I have the Maclaren Opus Duo for my twins who are now almost three. We will be using this on our trip. They are each about 28 lbs and it is still a breeze to push and maneuver compared to other doubles. My only concern is whether they can sit in the stroller for long periods of time...

we used out Maclaren with a 4 1/2 year old on one trip and it was great - I don't think you can go wrong with any maclaren.

If you want lightweight, then the Volo is brilliant, although it doesn't recline

for a 5-6 month old, I wouldn#t use one for my everyday stroller (although people do), but then I do a lot of walking outside in all weathers.
but for a trip to Disney it would be perfect, just make sure you get a model that reclines to almost flat.

i have 5 maclaren strollers (double, daytripper, vogue and 2 volos). obviously i'm a big fan LOL

for the older child i'd get a daytripper or triumph. i have a 34lb 2 yr old and he fits well in my daytripper still.

for the younger i'd really look at a quest or vogue, because they offer more recline and legrests.

you can usually get the best prices on ebay. don't be afraid of used ones, most mac owners keep them very clean.

we have the opus duo for our 18mo DS and 3 yo DD and love it. We have been to Disney 6 times in the last 3 years and it has served us well. We also have a vougue single with a buggy board for the back and love that as well for short excursions to the mall or zoo. Just remember to spray some white lithium grease on the axels every now and then and it will be really easy to push. Also the rain sheild come in handy if there is even a chance of rain make sure to cover the stroller with it before going into an attraction.

I have a Maclaren Free Spirit (predecessor to the Techno) and love it. That said - I'd highly highly recommend you buy a Pliko P3 for your kids instead. This is my absolutely FAVORITE WDW stroller for two kids. We're about to take it on it's 3rd trip to the world. High enough weight limit for either of your kids. Sun canopy pulls all the way down to napper bar. Cup holders for baby and you. Steps on back for older child. (My DD rode exclusively on the steps the last two trips). Full recline. Decent (but not huge) basket. Carrying handle for on and off transportation. Stands by itself when folded. Adjustable handles for taller DH's (or mom's). Can't say enough about how this is the perfect WDW stroller.

I do not want double strollers... We want the flexability to leave with just one child if necessary...

I think we are going with 1 triumph and maybe 1 Quest... or possibilty 2 triumphs... I like the idea that the Quests has 4 recline positions.

Hi Luv2trav-
I have 2 Mac doubles and a Triumph. I bought the Triumph to use with either child (2 1/2 and 10 mos). I really like it for my 2 yo, but not the baby. In retrospect, I wish I'd gone ahead and bought the Quest. The big issue with the Triumph and the baby is the recline mechanism. The back has a snap together clip that allows you to open it to recline or clip it together to hold the seat up. With a baby, its really difficult to clip it back up with her in the seat. I can say to my 2 year old "sit up while I clip it" and it works just fine. With the baby, DH has to pull her forward so her weight isn't on the back of the seat while I push it up and clip the straps together. If I were you, I'd definitely get a Quest and a Triumph.

Good Luck

What she said! I bought the Daytripper and love it! It has all of what she describes and it is great. I actually bought it for my almost 4 y/o for WDW. I knew she would not be able to keep up walking and a rental stroller would be too uncomfortable. This stroller is good for a older kid and DD loved it. She just turned 5 but I will still be taking it next month on our trip just in case we need it. I am going to miss my stroller days though as they are great for carrying other stuff too besides the kiddos!
