We currently have a 2006 Maclaren Techno XT that has seen several Disney trips - and still looks brand spankin' new. Basically, we love it.

On our trip in January 2009, DH babywore the new little one as always; while Duncan (3) spent time in the stroller as needed. Basically, we noticed we parked the stroller, did the rides in one area; picked up stroller, and moved on. Duncan pretty much only sat in the stroller between areas and on the way to/from the buses.

So, here's the challenge. For our upcoming December trip, our kiddos will be 3 and 1. While DH and I will babywear as much as possible, Pierce is already 31 pounds at 8 months. I think come December, our Beco Butterfly II will still be working; but only in the back carry. So, it limits the ease of use for rides.

Do I want to purchase a new Maclaren Twin Techno just for Disney trips, or should be buy a second single Mac and use a stroller clip. Or.... do we just do the trip with one stroller, but switch the boys in and out as needed? What has worked for your family?

For those with the Mac Twin Techno - I am hearing the seats are more narrow than the single TT. Can anyone confirm, or post a seat measurement for me?

Thanks in Advance :flower3:

I think buying a 2nd single and the clips is the way to go. That way you can even split up during the day if you want and still have a stroller for both kids. Like if you wanted to take the baby to the baby care center and your DH could take the 3 year old to a ride. :goodvibes

I just saw your post about HomeGoods, and after talking to DH - I think we're going to stick with a 2nd single Mac. Duncan is at the age where at home he never uses a stroller; and I don't want to be stuck with a twin Mac for the odd trip to Disney World every year. Since our next trip sees us going as a Grand Gathering, it might be much easier with two singles; in case the grandparents or aunts/uncles decide they want to take one of the two kiddos along with theirs for some rides.

Now I just need to find myself a HomeGoods close enough to our border crossing; and see what they've got on hand. Worse case, I've been looking at the same eBay seller's Quest.

How I wish Maclarens were more afforable in Canada. :headache:
