You should come join me and my Dis friends on my latest trip report. It's the "Who Knew Choking...." report. You can tell from the names of my last two reports that we are a "lively" bunch of folks. My first trip report was entitled "Where's My Tooth?".

I love the Disboards. I have met so many wonderful people here.

I def will join now! I love meeting so many people! Hopefully some will come over here too! Do you know how to just take small bits of people's replies to respond back to? Or when you hit quote do you just delete the parts you don't want. That is what I have been doing now/

I saw that you joined in. I'm glad to have you. I just hit quote and then delete the parts of the post that I don't need. I am sure there is probably a technical way to do it but I am soooo not a computer person. I can type real fast though.

Sounds like the trip will be a lot of fun! I was looking at your ADR's (great choices, btw ) but was confused - are you on the regular Dining Plan with 1 table service and 1 counter service or the Deluxe plan? Thanks!

We are on the regular dining plan with one counter service, one table service, and a snack. We have done that one before a couple of years ago and still couldn't eat all the food! Normally i try to stick to low carb low sugar eating ans so this just blows everything out of the water. I salivate over all the "food porn" here for months!

So my lovely DH will insist that he is in no way a Disney junkie and he loves to go but it is more for the family yada yada yada. I know that he pratically grew up in Disneyland but I think he is just playing it cool. He is giving me countdown reports faster than I even think them. So I love having matching shirts for our trip. I think it is just so fun and everyone comments on them. I had a generic one made with our schools graphic design class that just says Mac Vacation 2010. I also bought a couple of cute ones online at the disney store. Matching ones for the girls and then matching for DH and I. It is almost impossible to find ones that are all the same in all sizes. And the custom made ones through the Disney store can get pretty expensive. Soooooo my husband is a pretty good artist and I would love for him to create a shirt but getting him to wear matching shirts is already a huge stretch so I pretty much don't push the limits. However......

He came home with this for the whole family yesterday...

Aren't they totally adorable!!!! I love vinylmations and we totally collect just random ones as we go so this was perfect. And he made them for all of us so I know he will wear it! I told you he was just an undercover Disney lover.

The shirt design is too cute. I love it. My husband doesn't come right out and volunteer that he is a Disney lover but ask him about Disney and you can't get him to stop talking.

So I came over here from Lisa's (Mickeytoontowns) TR and I see you are talking about me. It is all nice things so I don't mind a bit. Your plans look fabulous. I'm so jealous of your fall break. It must be a long one if you can do an almost 2 week trip. That is awesome! And yes the Pirate's League is so much fun and is a bargain for Disney.

Yeah I just moved to this district and they are a modified year round school district. The kids have two and a half weeks and teachers have two. We come back like 2 days early. It looks like you had so much fun at the PL!! I can't wait. We weren't going to go for so long because my husband's days off start tuesday but then we found out that if we got there sat. We could piggy back on free dining. So the girls and I are going out early.... Heaven help me hahahah

You'll be just fine with the 2 girls. If you read my trip report (which has turned into a novel so i don't expect anyone to read the whole thing) you'll discover that most of it was a solo trip with my kids. We had a grand time.

So I am dying to get going and get on my trip... I have a white board on my class room door that has the countdown of days to fall break. I debate with my kids if it should be school days or actual days. I have actual days because that is what my ticker says. They vote for school days. I win ... I love being the teacher. I also love teaching high school. You can talk to them about so many fun things and they get it, especially Junior year. Anyway... I regress. I am a planning OCD maniac. WHich I am sure many of you empathize with and probably are just like me . So I have spreadsheeted and laminated and bulletointed until I can do know more. THe tipping point was when I emailed my DH the spreadsheet and he said that was enough hahha at least he will know where he is going

I finally just started packing because I don't think I could take it anymore. I pack in outfits. And have become quite a concise packer. I travelled to Malawi, Africa over the summer for missions work and I had to pack in just one small suitcase for a very long time so I think I have become a pro. I started using ziploc bags to vacuum seal and compress my clothes. I also do this with the kids to group their outfits together, although DD11 is becoming way to "cool" to wear the things I pick.

So now the suitcase half packed is just sitting in the bedroom

So I just worked on some Mousekeeping envelopes. The crafty way seemed to be the thing to do and normally I am not very good at that stuff... I did mention I teach high school right?
Also, we always have a trip mascot. Some random character we can place in random places in our photos... A couple of trips ago to Disneyland we used the vinylmations. You can see in my avatar pic. This trip it will be Perry the Platypus. Phineas and Ferb is a big fav around my house. And the idea of a secret agent platypus actually greatly amuses my DH so Perry it is.

I have finally gotten DH to sign up for the boards. He will probably be a lurker and chime in every one in awhile to say i am telling it wrong....but baby steps. He just doesn't want to admit his Disney weakness hahahah so watch popo620 is on the loose. He wants to hear more about the tonga toast. hehehehe

I know I am so excited. THe envelopes I just started playing with. I grabbed some old scrapbook stuff (because heaven forbid I get around to that anymore) And then I just was using Sharpies and stickers. I was doing it while my kids were taking a test hahah Probably not the best use of my time. But I can't stop thinking about my trip! The shirts... We found an blank outline of a vinylmation online and then DH started adding designs and different things in. The Haunted mansion one is from a vinylmation one that is out. Then he just added the lettering. He knows someone that owns a screenprinting shop that they use for police stuff so he just took it there.

I know!! We say that all the time! We have even got the kids to start saying it...so bad. One of the officers has a license place that says it to.

We are soooo excited!!! Modified year round gets 6 weeks off in the summer and 2.5 weeks in the fall, christmas, and spring.
I have used your TR for so much of my planning. Drooling over the food for weeks! Your TR is soooo funny and you guys are such a cute couple. I need one of those shirts for my DH.
I almost want to get the wifi in the hotel so I can update from there becuase I don't want to forget anything. I may make updates from my phone and then add pics later!

Ohhhhhh, look! I found my wife!!! This is where she has been for the last week! HAHAHA!

Well, it's almost time for "THE TRIP" and the DW is busy planning everything from our dining to what I am going to wear! I'm glad they take such good care of me!

I'm looking forward to the time with my 3 princesses in the Kingdom......there is no other place I'd rather be with the 3 of them! There are too many great memories throughout the years to document in this forum!
