macarthur airport NY

for those that fly out of Islip, how is the long term parking there? I have never used this airport. May consider using.

Islip rocks! If I lives closer I would use it all the time. The long term parking is closer than short term parking at most airports.
I seriously love this airport!

great deals...has a shuttle to get you there, but easy enough walk with rolling luggage. ISP is an amazing airport.

Love it!! Hate to fly in or out of anywhere else!
We use long term parking all.the.time. And it's great! Typically DH drops me and kiddos off at curb with luggage and he goes and parks... By the time he gets back e are waiting for him at security... Reverse, he goes for car and we go for luggage... Easy as can be!
I have also flown alone and parked/walked by myself and I have always felt safe and comfortable... Car has always been safe too!

We've had a great experience at Islip airport. If you're an Islip resident you get a discount. Go on to MacArthur airport website and there you will find a link for Islip resident discount for long term parking. We're in Town of Brookhaven so we couldnt get the discount but we left our car there for 7 days for a little less than $100.00. The parking lot is small enough that you can walk to your car but does have the shuttle available if you need it.

Flying in and out of ISP is a no brainer. LaGuardia and Kennedy (excluding JetBlue terminal) are absolute disasters.

I live in Nassau County. JFK is close, LGA is next and ISP is the furthest of the three local airports. I'll take ISP almost every time. In the event that I can't do ISP, I'm more likely to drive up to White Plains than to go to either LGA or JFK.

There's just something about flying out of a small airport that can't be replicated from the larger ones.

We fly out of Macarthur islip all the time. We use globalparking.com and for $6 a day park at the Holiday Inn and use their free shuttle. It's great and half the price of the airport parking. The hotel is less than 2 miles away.

I looked on the global parking site. It mentions the shuttle is on demand. what does that mean.
