I can't believe she chewed the crap out of it....had to take it away from her and I think she is having withdrawls now. She loved that thing. I bought her the red one and now I think I need to get her the black one (for more "aggressive" chewers).

We are having a Christmas party here next week and I really want to have her chew her Kong if she gets a little rambunctious during the night.....

Just thought I would share...my sister said that they were suppose to be "indestructible"?????

Yes, definitely get the black one.

My beast destroyed the red one when she was younger too.

Not sure about the red one, but I'd say yes about the lagre black on. We had one for our 150 lb. black lab and it would make her so mad that she couldn't chew it apart.

One hint...don't fill it with crap!!! :rotfl2:

That is too funny!! Jake has a Kong and she LOVES it! She likes to chew a lot, but hasn't torn hers apart yet. She has had it since she was a puppy and she is about 5 1/2 now (wow, time has flown). She loves to play catch with it. Do any other dogs play catch with theirs? Jake will bring it over to you and hold it in her mouth and rest her head on your lap. If you don't take it, she will put it in your hand and back up ready to have it thrown to her. She also plays tug-of-war with it. What can I say? I have a strange pup! :dog:

thanks guys...I will get the black one tomorrow.......it is funny and kinda mean, I admit, when we ask her "where's your kong"....cause she searches for it and used to come set it on the counter for me....LOL

Didn't even notice that sounded like that!!!!

That's ok, I've been meaning to get one for our dogs and the way they like to eat the "kitty cookies" I bet I could fill theirs with crap and they'd love it!!! :rotfl2:

I have a male Weim that is so attached to this horrid little squeaky monkey that looks like it's on crack or somthing. He carries it with him everywhere, even when he goes outside to use the bathroom. My neighbors get the biggest kick out of watching him hike his leg and still hold his "baby" in his mouth. :rotfl:

Does he by chance, suck on things like pillow and blankets?? Mabel does this all the time to "fall asleep".....do you have pics of him...would love love to see some!!!!

Funny story, when she was a baby we had these little toys, one being this little rabbit that the body was like a stretchy thing (whole in the middle) and long fabric ears. Well, she has always loved this eventhough it is mean't for a little dog....we were playing with it last night and she kept bringing it back to me....and we would play a little tug of war and I would put it on her "snout"....the elastic part of the toy....anyway.....she brought it to me later....and the ears were GONE!!!!! It was so funny....and I know she "ate" them!!! I will have to have DH check her poop!!! That stuff has got to be bad for her...actually eating fabric etc....Any experience with that???

Okay, you asked for it!

Shiloh is adorable!!

OMG, can't believe she detroyed that Kong. My beagle is so so on the kong. Fill it with cheese. it's great. Otherwise, he leaves it alone.

jasmine, Kong is a rubber pet chewy with a hole in the center for filling with whatever goody you want dog to have. About $10 at Petco or Target.

herc.

Demo loves his kongs (yes he has more than 1!)

He started out with a red one but he destroyed it so we got him a black one for tough chewers. Last time we were at the vet, the vet told us about blue kongs. They are only sold at vets and unlike the regular kongs, will show up on xrays if the little buggers ever manage to swallow a piece. This kong seems even harder to chew than the black ones. It's great! we stuff it full and it keeps Demo occupied for hours!!

Santa will be giving Demo a green kong for Christmas. It's called an "O TenenKONG" like the Christmas tree song. (It came free with the purchase of dog food this month)

Anyone ever try the "kitty kong" for their cat? Not sure if max would like it or not. He seems to be more of a bell and feathers kinda kitten.
