MA Residents: Comcast vs Verizon DSL?

Ok, so DH and I have finally decided to make the leap from dial-up to either broadband or DSL. The problem is, we can't seem to decide between Comcast's broadband servcie or Verizon's DSL.

Has anyone had any positive/negative experiences with either one? We've looked at the pros and cons, but I'd really like to hear from users of either service.

Don't know anyone who actually has Verizon but know a lot of Comcast users who seem to like it. In our area we have Adelphia Cable and like their high speed service. Tried to get Verizon initially and was too much of a hassle. Would never have dial up service again!!

I've had Comcast since the day it was offered in my town. I really like it. We've had very few interuptions of service, I can almost always get right through to the help people and it's really fast!

They just upgraded their email service so that you can save more messages. Big help if you do Ebay and want to keep records for a while.

No real complaints from me. Of course I wouldn't mind if it was a bit less expensive.

We had to get a cable modem through our municipal cable company in Shrewsbury, but I have no complaints about it. It was great! We got rid of our DSL to get the cable modem. The DSL had a lot of problems.

we've had verizon DSL since they started offering it, and love it. Never had any down time, access is always great speed, and we can network all the comuters in the house, easily with no extra charge.
