We are going to the Equine Affaire at the Big E on Saturday. I know it's a long shot, but anyone else going??? :flower:

Not gonna be there but welcome to MA!

Sorry I won't be there but I live right up the street (well, maybe 3 minutes up the street). Welcome to West Springfield!!!

I'll be there bright and early Saturday morning, as long as I can find my way around the detours. Darn bridge construction!

If you really want to avoid traffic, and enjoy a more scenic (slow) route, take exit 47W off of 91N. Go over the bridge and take a right. You'll travel through Suffield, CT, pass Six Flags NE (closed), and Agawam, MA. After a few miles, you'll be at a large intersection. Take a right over a small bridge and Gate 1 of the Big E is right there!

Have a fun day! :sunny:

Ohh Thanks Bunsen! For a "New Guy" you're pretty helpful! :goodvibes

hey, Ill be there either Thurs or fri. I was hoping to go thurs but my grandmother passed away and hubby cant take 3 days off in a row. ( the funeral is Wed, and fri is the holiday) I rather not go when it is so busy but at least I am going! Have Fun! Ill let you know of any deals!

Too bad! I usually always go on Friday. It's a tradition with me. But since my stepdaughters want to go this year we are going on Sat. I know, I am dreading the crowds but I think they will enjoy it so much it will be worth it.

Cool! Lets compare notes next week!

:goodvibes

Oh...I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. :grouphug:

if you go in the main entrance and the lines are too long, walk around the back side of the better living building and get your tickets from the side door. that way you dont have to wait in line FOREVER..

Make sure you go see the fjords!!!!

I cant wait!

we went today, traffic was nasty but still made it from middleboro to there in about 2 hours 20 minutes. The line for tickets moved fast but the better living center and the other sales building was packed. you couldnt even move! we ending going to the breed building and to see the horses in the barn. We saw part of the Clint Anderson Clinic and the POny Boy Clinic. I was very good and only bought 3 things, a $10 manure fork and 2 heated water buckets. we left around 4 because it was crazy

It's supposed to warm out tomorrow, so you should have great weather. Hope it's not too crowded though. Have fun! :sunny:

We may be there tommorow!!! We have an early morning soccer game and may head out. I will look for you (I see your picture...lol)

Jeanny-you're in Uxbridge?? I'm right next door to you, Northbridge!! In fact, our game is at the Hab tommorow am!

Cinderella2004~ yep, I'm actually on the Northbridge line, near Brian's and right behind Foxy Travel... I cut throught Northbridge all the time on my way to The Shoppes at Blackstone Valley.

I just found the Hab this summer as I was going by to the country club up there... My football coach has a fundraiser there every July. That's out in no man's land!!!

Hope your soccer game went well, it certainly was nice weather.. and I hope Honeibee had a great time at the Big E. :goodvibes

Hey there Tigger1 I grew up in Middleboro. I was surprised to see that town posted here.
I hope everyone had a good time. I have relatives in Agawam & Southwick.

Hey Tigger1, what restraint you have! :goodvibes I saw a lot of things I'd love to have, but I bought only a few things I really needed.

We got there at 9:10 Sat morning and there was hardly any wait at all. We were amazing at how not crowded it was, until about 3:00. We left about 4:30. My stepdaughters had fun but spent most of the day in search of Breyers, which we told them they could each buy two of, but that they would not see them again until Christmas. :teeth: I mentioned toDH that I'd love to have the Smart Chic Olena Breyer, so he bought it for me. But I have to wait until Christmas too! :rotfl:

I saw Pony Boy but did not see any of the clinics really, except as we were walking by. I stopped to talk to Clinton Anderson and I'm sorry but he was a total JERK!

It was a really fun day but man, I was exhausted at the end! It's a lot of walking and standing in one day.

Hey, did you see that big black Shire horse they had in...I can't remember what building. He was SOOOO handsome! I wanted to take him home.
