I would like to get currency from M&S but we do not have a bureau in our local M&S. Our nearest is probably Bath.
I notice that you can buy over the net, but assume this is only if you have a M&S card?
Anyone discovered a way round this, or am I going to have to get an M&S card just so I can order currency!!!

I am not awre that you need an M&S card to purchase their currency by phone or the net, just a debit card,as the currency is done via onlinefx, and not M&S direct if that makes sense.

Can anybody clarify please
up to 1.78

I'm seeing 1.79 on travelex!!!

Let's hope it keeps going

On the marks and spencer site in the terms and conditions it says
Orders
An order may be placed up to seven days prior to required delivery.

Currency must be ordered before 1pm for guaranteed next working day delivery (we cannot guarantee orders placed on Friday will be delivered on Saturday). Orders placed after 1pm will be delivered in two working days. Payment and delivery is subject to authorisation from Marks & Spencer money.

Orders are subject to a minimum value of £100 and a maximum value of £2,500.

We have the right to refuse your order at anytime.

You can pay only with your Marks & Spencer Card.

I may have this wrong but I think you have to have a marks and spencer card. Has anyone used this service with another card.

I got a rate of $1.795 at Natwest bank to-day tues but am playing a waiting game........hoping it will go even higher before I go in March to San francisco

We exchanged money in December and found M&S a decent rate but wasn't going to go for their store card . Got an even better rate at Travelex, Which was situated on the airport, I think they're at most airports.

have used M& S for last 4 years for travel money & have always paid with M&S card. They have very good rates & their delivery is excellent.

last year 2003 bought my travel insurance from them too.

Interestingly I cross checked and onlinefx offer a very slightly lower rate than M&S!!!
Think I'll probably go for the card as I never see anything there I'd like to buy and so am not very likely to be tempted to use it for anything else!!
