M&M Tube Wrapper

Ok help, what print settings should I use? I just tried to print the Jedi Mickey one and it filled a whole page! The m&m tube isnt that big!

Natalie formats hers to 5 x 3.5 inches to fit around a M&M tube.

One way to print it is to insert the image into a MS Word document (if you have it). Then click on the picture and go to the top of word and click on "format" then in the drop down menu click on "picture" and the "size" tab. Then make sure that the width is 5 inches. If it isn't then type 5 in the width box and hit the tab key on your keyboard and it will automatically format the height to 3.5 inches.

Hope that helps! The regular M&M label's width is 5 inches but you can make yours a little bigger if you want to cover more of the tube. 5.25 x 3.68 is a good size too.

Thanks for the info Dolly. I couldnt figure out how to get it from my "downloads" folder over to word. However, I was able to choose 3.5 x 5 in the photo printing wizard. That worked! Thanks for telling me the proper dimensions.

New question: how do you attach the graphic? Tape, glue? Whats the best way?

I use double sided tape. I get mine at Walmart and it is a Scotch brand (the cover is yellow). It is where you find the regular tape. Then you can put it on the back side of the paper and you don't have to see the tape. It is strong enough that it holds well.

If you ever want to get something from your pictures into word. Open up a word document. Then go to the top of Word and click on "insert" then in the drop down menu click on "picture" and "from file". Then locate the image, click on it and click "okay".

There is a great thread that teaches you how to use Word to personalize things if you ever want to add a name to a blank design...here is the thread:

I used sticker paper that is made for printers. I bought it at Staples last year to make stickers for my DS5's birthday party, and had plenty of sheets left over. It worked like a charm! :goodvibes

Some people also cover it with packing tape or clear shelf paper to keep it water proof. But I love the idea of sticker paper! I'm going to have to look for that!
