I didn't take any while we were there, but it looks like it's going to be AMAZING! It's being done by Bollinger and Mallibard, the makers of Kraken and the Dueling Dragons and Hulk at Islands of Adventure. I had never ridden Kraken before our recent SeaWorld visit and was amazed that it's a "real" coaster (as opposed to the much tamer ones at Disney...at least USF/IOA has real ones too). I'm drooling with anticipation of Manta.

Manta looks cool. DD was begging to go back this summer after it opens

i heard opening is May 20th (which sux cause im going to be there till the 17th but lets hope that all the bugs get tested out and fixed and they open it the first week of may!!

The best way to keep up with updates adn new photos adn news for MANTA, Rip Ride Rockit or any other orlando park or rides is to check this site everyday for news!!! It is the best amusment park news in the industry IMO!!! www.screamscape.com

Can anyone explain if Seaworld have a 'Fastpass' type system and if they do, how does it work/cost, etc etc.

There's no fastpass system. They've only got a few rides (Journey, Kraken, Wild Arctic) so they don't have a need for any fastpass system.

Sea World has Quick Queue which is like a Fast Pass but it's $14.95 for the day and it's unlimited access. I don't know if Manta will have the QQ ready when it first opens as the lines will be huge.

Is it a coaster that puts you into a flying position looking straight down. That is what I'm getting out of what I read. We went on the flying coaster at Six flags Magic Mountain (Tatsu) and it was incredible. Very slow loading though. I hope it is similar.
