Lysol Wipes - Carry-on or Check-in Bag?

I am taking someone's tip to bring some Lysol wipes to wipe down the room when we arrive. Our family just got over a variety of illnesses (including H1N1) and I just don't want to take any chances. I work at a hospital and know the chances.

Anyway, my question is I want to have these on my carry-on and can't find anywhere that it is not allowed. But to play it safe - how did anyone else travel with these? Should I just place some in a baggie and put the rest in check-in bag?

Carry them on the plane and wipe down tray tables, arm rests and anything else little fingers may touch. I'll be doing just that on Saturday when we fly.

I have a small package of them (found at Walmart's travel section) which will take up little room In my carry on bag. I have a bigger package for use in the room.

I will typically mail a package to the resort which includes clorex (sp?) wipes, baby wipes, (before potty training) diapers, (during potty training) the potty chair (he was really potty specific) and other various bulky items that I wanted, but didn't want to travel with. It was very inexpensive to ship and there was no problem getting it once we got in our room. I also pack a small pack in my carry on. I hope that this helps.

As the other poster said, bring a small travel sized-packet or 2 with you on the plane to wipe everything down (seatbelt, armrests, tray tables, etc - as well as to bring to the bathroom with you on the plane). Pack a larger container in your regular luggage for use in the room.
