Lysol in checked bag?

Yes. The tsa site lists what you can and cannot bring in checked bags and carry ons. www.tsa.gov

Don't know what you're reading, but aerosols--other than personal care items in limited quantities--are clearly prohibited in both checked and carry-on bags. Personal care items are defined as something you will use on your body (hairspray, deodorant, etc.) not cleaners or household disinfectants.

The actual list is down the page at this link.

I'm someone who always brings Lysol on trips and sprays down the hotel room before we use it.

I didn't know it was on the list of banned items. I've never had a problem with it. I usually bring along the regular-sized container. I put it in my checked bag. Maybe this has been a recent ban??

Anyway, while I was looking at the list on the link provided in the above post, I noticed snow globes can't be in carryons. That would be awful to buy an expensive Disney snowglobe and put it in your carryon, just to find out it can't be brought on the plane. I don't think the snowglobes would survive in a checked in bag!

FYI disney will ship them for a reasonable price and replace them if broken while shipping.

I bought a snow globe in New York City a few years ago and ran into a problem with TSA. It survived being packed away in my luggage. FYI, it wasn't those cheap plastic ones but glass.

No, actually. It predates 9/11, and it actually isn't a TSA ban, it is an FAA ban. It is prohibited because it is very flammable.

If it is found during an inspection it will be disposed of. You won't be punished in any way, but TSA is supposed to toss it if they see it.

That's why Disney has signs by the snow globes telling people they can't take them on planea

On one of my trips to Disney (in 2009) I drove and took the opportunity to purchase a snowglobe. The CM at the register alerted me that I would not be able to take it in my carryon. I told him no worries, I was driving and therefore it wouldn't matter.

It's because containers of liquids over 3 oz. are prohibited in carryons, and this includes snowglobes. I suppose if you had a tiny enough snowglobe that it was less than 3 oz. and could fit in your 1 1-liter clear bag, it would be fine, but that is certainly more the exception than the rule when it comes to the size of snowglobes.

Lysol Wipes also come in travel size packages. I carry them on all my trips.

Lysol comes in forms other than aerosol cans. Wipes and liquid come to mind. That is why I linked the TSA site since the OP did not specify what the form was.
