I wanted to share this with everyone who is traveling to Disney World, and uses a paratransit service in their home state. If you are ADA certified, and use a paratransit service where you live. You can have the paratransit company in your town fax your eligibility information to Lynx, and they will take care of the rest.

On the last trip that my guy Dan, and I went with my family over the MLK weekend in January 2014. There were times where we were with our friends. One of them who uses a power chair. We stayed offsite the first three days of the trip, and so we had to use Lynx to get to the parks. We faxed them my ADA certification from the paratransit service my friend and I both use in the town we all live in, and they took care of the rest. My friend did the same. It was easy to use them. We had some fairly nice drivers too. Some of them were sympathetic to us when all of us looked dead tired at the end of the day from being at one of the parks.

We're going to be using Lynx again on our trip in October/November, and will be repeating the process to get the certification paperwork faxed from the paratransit company in our town, for me to Lynx.

I realize this is a Disney forum, but paratransit service is temporarily - a week or two - transferable pretty much anywhere in the country that offers it. Always check the requirements of/at your destination well in advance.

We do. I don't make the arrangements for the paratransit. But, our friend does, and she makes sure that all of the arrangements have been made with Lynx, for all of our trips while we are there about a week before we leave. She also makes sure that they got of my eligibility paperwork on me (and on her daughter who uses the power chair) faxed in from the county paratransit here at home. This is my second time using Lynx. One thing I didn't know was that they run 24 hours a day. Compared to the one here at home which only runs from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. Dan's, and my friends have had experience with them before. I was worried about having to leave the Halloween party early, and not getting to see the Boo To You parade because we would have to go meet up with Lynx. But, I was relieved when my friend said that we would still be able to go to the Halloween party, and see the parade.
