Lynx Buses to WDW? (Old Town to TTC)

I'm staying at a hotel next to Old Town next month & will be arriving to the hotel after the last scheduled shuttle from the hotel. I'm debating using the Lynx bus since there's a stop at Old Town that takes you to the TTC. Also, would like to use the public bus in the evening because the hotel shuttle means missing Wishes (unheard of!!!). I've never used public transportation before, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone ever done this route? Is it easy? I used a taxi in January & that cost me $25 from the TTC to the same hotel & I'd rather not pay that again!

I'm planning on taking the Mears shuttle from the airport to the hotel & may possibly book them for travel from hotel to the park. Has anyone done that, as well? Just trying to plan things out.

All the travel cost, any way to use Hotwire with debit or credit card for the week. I had a premium off hotwire for a week at $197,It was an Alamo veh.
