Lynx Bus to I-Drive Hotel?

Posted this on the Transportation board as well, but figured I might have better luck here.

My boyfriend and I are doing a Universal trip in Feb (first time for both of us!) and we've been trying to figure out the best way to get from MCO to our hotel on I-Drive. Rental car is out since we're both under 25 and Mears or a cab is a little more expensive than we'd like. I found the Lynx website and it looks like we could just take the 42 directly from MCO to about a half-block from our hotel (Four Points Studio City). We're from DC, so we're used to public transportation and taking our luggage on buses.

Has anyone done this? Any problems besides the fact that it takes longer? TIA!

I'm not sure of a Lynx bus but another option is the I-Ride trolley. Also most hotels on I-Drive have a hotel shuttle bus to Universal studios and if they don't, usually the hotel next door will have one so you can catch it there.

42 looks like your bus. I don't know what hotel you are staying at but here's the map:

I don't know if you used the Trip Planner you can enter the exact address and it will give you walk distances. Or you can fill out a Route Planning Assistance form and have them get back to you. Also remember that you can purchase the Lynx passes online so that its one less thing to juggle with ($2.00 single ride).

I-Ride trolley only goes from Premium Outles to Prime Outlets.

Oops, my mistake. I knew it went to Seaworld and Wet N Wild so i assumed it went to Universal Studios also. I have seen it at the hotels across the street from Universal Studios but never at Universal Studios.

Phamton: My bad, a little of miscommunication. What I meant is that the I-Ride Trolley does not go to the airport. The furthest south it goes is the Orlando Premium Outlets. I'm looking at the I-Ride Trolley map, and it doesn't show a stop for uni; but it might leave them at walking distance.

42 bus - takes an hour, runs every half an hour. Easy as pie. You can spot the hotel a mile off. Bus stop literally 20 yards from the hotel front doors. Done it before, doesn't take much longer than a car/cab. No problems whatsoever. :thumbsup2

Well, I need a refresher course on reading comprehension because I didn't even notice that they needed a ride from the airport. I was just thinking they needed a ride from their hotel on I-Drive to Universal Studios. I appreciate the information. :)

OP here... thanks for all the help! Looks like we'll do Lynx and save some cash!
