LV- Tahiti at Poly?

If I am looking for a good view of the Castle should I request TAHITI?? Has this longhouse been renovated yet?? Is it nice??Any opinions are welcome!! I was hoping for Hawaii but could not get it thru SOG overflow rates.( Still waiting for AP rates and hoping they will include concierge.)Joan

Hi there!
Tahiti is an excellent choice! I stayed at both Hawaii and Tahiti, and the view is just as spectacular from Tahiti! It has a beach in front, with the Tiki torch lit path, and then the lagoon, and Castle, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Space Mountain.... everything, it is just magnificent!
Tahiti is one of the newer longhouses, It was in fine shape when I stayed in it in May 2001.
I dont believe it has been renovated yet.

Laura, Thanks for the info! Love your pic of Lilo and Stitch!It is one of my favorite Disney movies. We opened our Beauty and the Beast Dvd today and it said that L&S will be avaiable in Dec! Joan

We stayed in Tahiti in August 01 and loved every minute of it. We had a lagoon view and I will say, it was amazing. So peaceful and realxing to sit on the patio and watch the water parade and the fireworks without ealing with the crowds. We thought the rooms were in good shape and they are larger than most. We have a family of 5 (2adults, 17yo, 10yo and 3yo) and thought they were plenty big enough. The Poly is our favorite resort. It is like 2 vacations in 1. I think you will be happy in any of the longhouses but if you can get Tahiti you will be hooked!

Thanks,WDWnutze! We also are a family of 5,DD-17DS-14and DS-8. So we will also appreciate a larger room.This is our first time staying at the Poly. We are DVC members and I have booked 5 nites at the Poly and I have 4 at the BCV(we stayed there this summer and LOVED it). I will request Tahiti and hopefully will get it! Thanks, Joan
