Luxury Car through Dollar

Hi, following on from the SUV thread below, we have arranged a luxury car through dollar (my DH is a car fanatic and that's his treat! - sad I know!! ).

Has anyone ever hired a luxury car through dollar? and if so, what did you end up with??

The website says it will be a Chrysler 300 Touring or similar - and DH desperately wants it to be the Chrysler - not the similar!!! (I've no idea what any of what I've just said means - so don't test me on it!!! )

Website does say Chrysler yes but I wouldn't say that was guaranteed.

I would ask when you get there, they have 2 cars generally for many of the sizes so if you definitely want a specific one you would need to make that clear at the dollar desk.

We had a Chrysler 300 two years ago from Dollar. Nice car, but the boot was a bit on the small side for the size of the car. Leather seats and all the toys your DH could want, still as Johnny says best to ask at the desk if he has his heart set on one.

We hired a luxury car twice last year from Dollar.

The first time we were given the choice between a Lincoln Town Car and a Chrysler 300. No choice we took the Lincoln. It was great if a little big to drive (yes even for my DH who has a Landcruiser at home)

The second time we flew into Sandford and they only have the Chrysler. After looking at it we turned it down as there seemed to be lots of little luxury's missing, climate control springs to mind. I think we were a little spoilt after the Lincoln which didn't help with our impression of it.

We ended up taking a Pacifica which DH preferred (he has driven the 300 before).

I think you will be pretty safe getting a 300 as this was the only choice at Sandford and what they seemd to have more of at Orlando International.

We always book full size, had free upgrade to luxury about a year ago, got Chrysler 300, loved it.
Other Dollar locations like LAX let you pick your own car, unfortunately MCO don't.

You usually can ask for the 300. We hired one and loved it so much we brought one back at home last year. It is a thirsty beast, and really nice to drive, dh is now after the new jag You could always email them and specifically ask for the 300

Hi - we got the chrysler in October from Dollar at Orlando airport after bookin a 'premium' car' I think.

It is nice & roomy inside but was a basic model. they seemed to be all over!

Last time I was in the Dollar Lot they had plenty of 300's. My mate had one and loved it, not a lot of boot though. I'm sure I saw a few Dodge Chargers there as well if that's your kind of thing !
