Don't you just love life? We spent the week of Thanksgiving at my parents' in Houston. They just put their house on the market due to an upcoming job transfer, and the house sold the first day we were there. The movers are coming next Tuesday, and there new home won't be ready for 90+ days. They're renting an apartment in the mean time, which means that I'll be hosting Christmas for the first time ever. I'm excited, but it's left us a little out of sorts. Christmas has always been about loading up the car the minute school is out and heading to grandma and papa's for two weeks. Now grandma and papa will be coming to us. DD's afraid that Santa won't know where to find her, even though we keep reminding her that Santa has always left something for her at her home too. You should see the detailed directions she's written to him in her "Dear Santa" letter. The poor guy should be insulted at this lack of faith! 
I'm still plugging along. Haven't exercised much in the past week...no good excuse...I've just been lazy. I'm still hanging out at 4.5 pounds lost, which is better than nothing. I couldn't believe that I didn't gain over the holidays. I usually just have to smell that pumpkin pie and I gain at least 5.
Anyway tomorrow's a new day...and my 34th birthday. A new beginning for me! Hopefully I can get to journals in the next couple of days. I keep meaning to block out a chuck of time to read up, but then DS beckons and I can't resist that face.
