At the risk of sounding like complete alcoholics.... Where is the closest liquor store to the pan pacific???

The closest I've been able to find is the BC Liquor Store at 555 W Hastings at Harbour Center (the building with the revolving restaurant at the top). It looks like 4-ish blocks from the Pan Pacific on the map. It's only open 10 am - 6 pm and closed Sundays & holidays.

The one you'll want to visit is the BC Liquor Store at 1120 Alberni Street, Vancouver.

Alcohol in BC is very much controlled by the government (expect lots of taxes) but there are two excellent speciality stores that have much larger selections, longer hours and staff with specialized knowledge.

This one is only a ten minute walk from your hotel.

Make sure to try some of the very excellent BC wine from the Okanagan Valley. Burrowing Owl is my fave.
