So after reading on this board about the cult of Lush
and being a big fan of taking a hot bath to de-stress -
I decided to check of Lush for myself-
purchased a few bath bombs to try-
first night I try the Avobath Bath Bomb- Clean, fresh lemongrass smell -very nice-
but I notice micro fine glitter all over me after I get out - Just great
No big deal but I'd rather not be glittery. Thanks.
After a couple of nights I try - Christmas Party Bath Bomb - another citrusy smell - nice again -
but this time I notice little confetti glitter stars on the top-
I remove them- jump in the tub - toss in the bath bomb- Fyi these things desolve like an alka seltzer - all fizzy.
Well as this thing start to desolve I see thousands of multi colored glitter stars - prism glitter -
and regular gliter flying out of this thing! Lots of it!
It's like taking a bath in a cross between a gay pride parade and a snow globe!

Needless to say I now have glitter in my bed and on the floor.
Cue Love shack!

Wally - you have to check out Basin in DTD! Every time I'm down there I load up with stuff. They have tons of bath bombs ... some of them have things that should disolve (like little hearts) but never do, most of them don't. No sparkles. Also their body butter (get your mind out of the gutter ... well, ok, keep it there) is awesome.

I kinda like the glitter aspect of the LUSH bath-bomb experience... (loads of fun when you have candles lit in the bathroom and company in the tub )

BUT... for a non-glitter experience, try their Happy Hippy shower/bath/shampoo stuff. AWFUL name -- great citrusy scent. Best stuff ever. (and you're right; it just about IS a cult thing -- tee-hee.)

Just be alert to black tux's. I used one just before my brother's wedding. When I hugged him I left behind a fine glimmer allllllll over his tux. OOOOPS!

Hey I'm not opposed to a little glittery showmanship - I just never expected to be in the tub with thousands of tiny stars swirling around me.

I think it was more the surprise of it.

FYI - So far the Lush products are very nice - glittery - but nice.

Nope. Not even Dial soap or any normal soap for that matter. I have to use Neutrogena scent free glycerin soap.

I'm sensitive that way.
