Lurkyloo Does WDW: Solo Banzai Run for PassPorter’s Decade of Dreams!

Two words: "wedding invitation"

:rotfl2: (Kidding! I'm kidding! Far be it from me to invite myself to someone's wedding when I can stalk it from afar! Just watch out for my telescoping cake fork...)

Oh trust me, if I could convince the powers-that-be (aka each party responsible for paying!), you guys would be there!!

4:45pm: Tutto Italia

This is another place I’ve never been interested in, but I realized it’s the only table-service restaurant in Epcot I haven’t been to (well, if you count all the Japan ones as a single restaurant), so what the heck. Sure, I’m not really interested in Italian food and the place is reportedly way overpriced, but then I can put another notch in my belt (one that’s waaaaaaaaaaay out at the end of the belt to accommodate my soon-to-be ginormous tummy!).

Here, this might help get you in the mood for some Italian food! (Oh, and I had already eaten one by the time I remembered to take a picture!) ;)

Uh oh, I don't see this on the menu anymore... you have to check for me!!!

Carrie -

Your ADR's sound great. Good work on short notice. I have always wanted to try Askerhaus, but I always go with my boys who I don't think would care for the princesses. :confused3

I really think there is still time to work on Patrick for a return trip for the fall. He sounds like my DH who does reach his limit, but will usually concede. Right now I am working on DH for a solo free dining trip. "Honey - it's only the price of 4 nights at a value, a one day ticket, and cheap Southwest airfare? I really want to go. I've never seen the park decorated for Halloween". How can he say NO. :rolleyes1

Happy to join you for your 5 week count down!! Looking forward to it! :goodvibes Sound great -- I just wish you were going in June! Oh, and be sure to keep plugging away at DH for the FWF... poke poke plead plead, pout pout sniff sniff...:rolleyes1 Maybe when he is really distracted by the puppet stuff you can say reeeeeeeally reeeeeeeeeeally fast: "soibookedtheairfareforourtriplikeyoutoldmetoandIgotareallygooddealthankgoodnessforthefreediningoptionanddidyouknowyoucanget$8.00lobsterrollswithasnackcreditandhowgreatwearegoingbackIknowyouwillbeexcitedinseptemberbutwe'lltalkaboutitlater...."

I tell ya, the $8.00 lobster roll convinced my DH... the last time... :thumbsup2 It's all in the lobster roll. the magic of the lobster roll -- unless you hate lobster. that would suck.

Carrie, come a few days early and you can come to mine. We were guilted into having people there that we don't even really know so one more won't matter. I have talked (typed?) more to you then I have these people anyways.....:rotfl:

Wazzo, I need to know what that is. Is that at Tutto Italia? 31 more days of carrots and then I can have this :lovestruc

11:05am: Akershus Princess Storybook Fantasy Festival of Dining: The Experience

OK, so, yes, I don’t do character dining. But this one is a pity ADR for Jensey, who loves Disney breakfast food and can’t find anybody fool enough to go to this thing with her. Enter Lurkyloo!

Yay! Another trip report from Lurkyloo!!!

You might end up pleasantly surprised by the Akershus. I'll admit I turn into a five year old when I go to Disney, so it was all about the Princesses for me when I went, but they are really good about not being annoying. They spend lots of time with the kids that are there, and it's just fun to watch the little girls eyes get all big and excited. The breakfast is pretty tasty too. Nothing really fancy, but it's breakfast food and I didn't have to make it. :)

Have a great time!!! :goodvibes

subbing (especially because I'm mentioned in the OP) :lmao:

This is going to be a good one...hold on and please make sure your seatbelt is securely fastened......

:goodvibes

They are profiteroles!! :lovestruc

We had them this past December... but I don't see them on any of the menus I can find on the internet for Tutto! But, I think they have them in France too.

Looking forward to another TR! I like when people end their TRs and immediately follow them up with another one so I don't have to miss out on anything. I know you probably explained this somewhere else, but how did you get your connection with Passporter? Did you just apply, or did they find you?

Great start!

The party food looks good.

And your 'dining' whatever looks good too.

Hurray! New trip! I am very excited about this and your "Dining" sounds good! I'm sure you will finesse it into perfection before you depart! Can't wait to see what you get up to (and what kind of CAKE they'll be serving!).

And, anytime Patrick nixes a WDW trip, 'cause he's sick of going - I'll go with you! And we can take turns trying to surprise each other!

I have a question---I know you are an editor...do you work solely for Passporter? If so, let me tell you how much I love mine. I got the Deluxe for our trip in December and it's faaaaaantastic.

Right now PassPorter is my fun second job, and I edit snoozerific training manuals by day. I'm so glad you like the Deluxe, though - I have one too! I was a fan before I was an employee! :cutie:

Yup, you def. did well on such short notice

Glad you are going to the sci-fi. The sci-fi and the plaza are a most do for me.

Yeah, I loooove SciFi's atmosphere. I think they should put one in Carsland at California Adventure when it goes in, but I hear they scrapped the budget for a restaurant in the first phase. Too bad!

I'm here for the cake!

I think I need that slogan cross-stitched on a pillow... :cutie:

I'm here too. I just love all your reports.

Thanks! :wave2:

Ya know, my birthday is in August, and where there's birthday, there's cake...

Can't wait to hear your Bluezoo review!

Mmmmm.... birthday cake! And yes, I'm really excited to try bluezoo. I am expecting great things!

Oh boy!

I am already dying to read about Lurkyloo's experience at Akerhaus....I'm betting it'll be worth the price of admission in and of itself!

This is one TR I am not going to miss!

:rotfl: I figure, the worse it is, the funnier the story will be!

Uhh, it might just be too soon since the last report's "surprise" for any belly jokes...

:lmao:

Yay Carrie! I am so excited for you. I'm going to have to talk DF into another short trip (oh, yeah, that'll be hard, he can't go enough!). Is there a day you're not super busy and could hang out with us for a bit? I just got a big promotion, so the timing is just perfect! And I meant what I said about you having to see Disney at Christmas, hint hint, so you'd better be working on getting Patrick to go back to WDW.

Whoa - congratulations on the promotion! Maybe Saturday? The Magic Kingdom seems like a good place to meet.

Here, this might help get you in the mood for some Italian food! (Oh, and I had already eaten one by the time I remembered to take a picture!)

Thanks! I didn't know the Italians did profiteroles too. Those look just as tasty as the ones we had at Chefs de France.... mmmm....

You know, I've read about boys going to Akershus in DIS trippies (actually - I think it might've been our pal 2BoysMom!) and really enjoying it. Maybe you could give it a try! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I love it! I will try that tactic. I mean, you had me at "lobster rolls"....

Hi there! Can't wait to crash your dessert party! :rotfl:

They are profiteroles!! :lovestruc

Yes - and the ones at Chefs de France are fabulous!

They put out a call for an e-book editor in their newsletter a few years ago, and I applied for the job. I was SO excited to be selected b/c it's the first time I've been able to edit content I actually care about! :cutie:

Great start!

The party food looks good.

And your 'dining' whatever looks good too.

Yay - thanks! :)

I like the way you think! Now maybe you can surprise me with an ownership in Bay Lake Tower so we can go all the time!... :rotfl2:

popcorn:: joining in on the fun popcorn::

Hi! Glad to see you have the popcorn ready! :lmao:

I'm here to learn all there is to know about Disney dessert parties!!

You and me both! In fact, after this trip, all that will be left on my list is a Grand Floridian Marina dessert party. I'll have to figure out how to crash one of those.... :scratchin

holy crap, peeps be lovin you!! This thing is already on page 3!!! I am here too, now! Nice adr's and lucky you, getting to hangout with Jensey again

I'm joining in ... will be there apr 21 - May 9

Ahhh caaaakkeeeee...

Carrie can you just post some pics of good cake between now & your TR? I'm trying to lose 20lbs, and it'd be easier to do that by licking the screen instead of a fork covered in fudge icing.

But poor Jensey for having to hang out with sleep-deprived Lurkyloo. Maybe I should take up drinking coffee between now and then... :scratchin

Oh cool! Have you gone in May before? Do you have any tips or tricks?

:cool1:I'm here & waiting on the cake.popcorn::

Did I hear the word 'cake'? I'm ready! :goodvibes:woohoo:

Fellow cake lovers, unite! I see Beka has a suggestion for us....

Excellent idea! :thumbsup2

Let us begin with my current favorite red velvet cake, by LA bakery Susiecakes.

Hooray! Something trip-related just happened!

I got an email from my travel agent containing my reservation number and a paper to sign - whohoo! And then, as if it couldn't get any more thrilling, she sent me a confirmation email from Alamo for my $10/day rental car.

This is all new and exciting for me because I have never used a travel agent before. It feels kinda weird not being in control of everything. Not only that, but my travel agent booked me a Walt Disney Travel Co. package - another thing I never do (OK, once, for free dining - but let us never speak of it again...). I guess I'm a room-reservation-only kinda gal at heart, but when it makes the trip this cheap, I am open to new experiences... :teeth:
