Lurkers, please say hello!

You can tell from my post count that I am more of a lurker than a poster. However, I LOVE the podcast and listen to it every week. I'm gonna have to go back to some old episodes while you guys and gals are on break.

So from a lurker all the way in the Caribbean I just wanna say a big thanks for all that you do and my best wishes to all of your for this holiday season :)

I have posted very little but always wanted to. It can get a little rough at times and I just tend to lurk.

Had a great time on the PC 2.0. It was great to meet everyone on the cruise!
I was blown away at the quality of the special shows and meets that you put on for us.
This was our first cruise and from the very beginning when we were getting on the bus to the time we got off the bus the experience was awesome.

I feel like part of the family now and it is a great thing to be able to put faces with the names and voices.

I believe I will be posting more often in this area and thanks for opening the door to us lurkers.

Thanks to all the hard workers who made our first cruise the best ever experience. John, I am glad you stood your ground with Pete, I am so glad you won. Because in this situation, when you win, we all win. :thumbsup2:worship:

Hello everybody and merry Christmas.

Even though I have never attended an event, I still love to live vicariously through the stories on the boards. Don't post much, but read everybody and listen to the podcast every week.

Have a great day.

Chris

I tended to be shy and lurk on the Unplugged Board (but have posted on the UK boards for some time), despite my DD (Wishspirit) telling me that you don't bite!

My News Years resolution after a great podcast cruise (many thanks and more to the crew!) and meeting many wonderful, friendly people is

"I will lurk no more":banana::banana:

Shy in real-life is very different from shy on the DIS. In real-life, I'm shy. Here on the DIS I'm pretty vocal!

See, I would never call Mom shy at home- but she is on here! Very strange.

I'm not a lurker, but I working has significantly reduced my Dis-time!

Hi OKW Lover,

Love it! 12 step Program!!! HEHEH

Why don't you tell me the rest of the steps for a DIS Lurkers. This would be a wonderful t shirt if you can come up with it!

Also a lurker and big fan of The Dis. Wanted to go on PCC 2.0, but couldn't swing it. Going on PCC 3.0, but in an unofficial capacity. Meaning, we'll be on the same boat, but we are going through DVC. It will be our first cruise and I'm hoping to meet some Podcast fans in passing. :)

Just a suggestion, but if you are using DVC points for the cruise it would probably actually be cheaper to rent out your points and use the money to pay for the cruise. Points can usually be rented out for $9-10/point so do the math as to how cost effective this option is. :teacher:

I'm definitely a lurker! I listen to all the podcasts and follow the forums. I chat about them on a regular basis with my assistant principal, who is very active on the boards but I actually just created an account. Hopefully this is the first step to becoming a regular instead of a lurker... :goodvibes

:welcome:
Glad you decided to join us. Please tell us a bit about yourself - where you live, your family, Disney likes/dislikes. You'll find us as fun to "talk" to as your assistant principal (and who is that?).

BornTeach is the assistant principal of my school! I teach third grade in her school. Her office looks like WDW, so it's always fun to chat about the podcasts!

My last two trips to WDW have been with my best friend, and the next one will be with my parents. My parents are DVC members, and we'll be staying at BLT. I'm pretty darn excited, even though it will be a quick trip. Thanks to the boards I have made a request so hopefully we will have a view of MK even though we are staying in a Lake View room...

Have a great day and stay safe if you are in the storm, like me!:santa:

We know BornTeach! Ask her about Jeff & Val sometime. We're not dealing with the storm right now, we're in Houston with the grandchildren. But we are heading home (Plymouth MA) tomorrow afternoon.

:wave2: Hi! I'm a bit of a lurker on the Unplugged threads. I read a lot and listen to the podcast. I do post a lot - usually over on the trip reports and have done a few TRs as well.

I'm a semi-lurker. I love to listen to the podcast and always keep some old shows on my ipod for when I run out of the week's new shows. I also like to read the boards, but as a college student I tend to become quickly overwhelmed by the amount of posts compared to the small amount of time I have to read for fun. But I am on my winter break between semesters at the moment so I am taking full advantage of my free time and posting like crazy!

Heather

Welcome to all our lurkers!!!

I have a challenge for all of you - try to add 50 posts to your count before the end of the year!!! Are you up for the challenge?

They don't have to all be on the unplugged board - spread them around the DIS if you like - but make it a goal to up your post count.

Checked the math and it's almost a break even for us (thankfully, since I already booked). BUT, I am definitely going to keep this in mind for the next PCC. Thanks so much for the tip! :thumbsup2

This is what I love about the boards - friendly and helpful people with a shared love of Disney. You guys are great!
