We are going on a 10 day split stay the last week of October through the first week of November. I am normally a serious planner that has all my ADRs mapped out and made at least 90 days out. In the past we always buy the DDP and eat our TS credit at dinner, CS at lunch.

A big difference on this trip is I will be 25 weeks pregnant and I will have to watch my sodium since I tend to swell plus my “taste” tend to change and are hard to plan for.

We have dinner ressies already made for the whole 10 days but I am really thinking about paying OOP for the first leg of the trip and trying to eat more TS and avoid CS to help keep my salt intake down. I would cancel some of the ADRs for the first part of the trip too because they are generally early and I am thinking of TS for lunch and TS for a later dinner as well.

We’ll keep the DDP for the second part of the trip when my parents meet up with us (they mandate it).

Here’s my question: how hard will it be to walk up and get into a TS for lunch without an ADR? I know certain ones like Le Cellier would probably be a no but what about places like The Plaza or Rose and Crown? I know how important ADRs are at dinner does that hold true for lunch?

We've walked in to the Nine Dragons more than once for lunch on these dates and in March. It's Food & Wine, you might just want to graze around World Showcase, we had very few ADRs for any meal last Oct.

We have also walked into Nine Dragons and Rose & Crown. All you can do is ask, you never know. Have fun!

Myself and three of my friends from Orlando had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern without an ADR and only waited 5 minutes to be seated, when the waiting area was very busy.

I would try to make some ressies, at least you'll have something. I'm not willing to take any chances, especially during FD.

We managed to get a walk up for lunch at Le Cellier - it was a late lunch though around 2.30pm - this was a while back though (Oct 05) and I know the restaurant is more popular now.
