We had lunch with an imagineer on Dec 19th. DS (12) is very creative, artistic and loves all the illusion of Disney. We had lunch with Eric. He is late 30's, charming, fun, interestomg and very, very interested in all of our questions. We had a 'full table' at our luncheon: 8 guests plus Imagineer. It was great because the questions and conversation kept flowing. Eric told us that we were his 1st luncheon. He had been on the Disney list for 3 months just waiting his turn. He said there are approximately 600 imagineers in Orlando and many, many of them are just waiting to experience the lunch thing. Ours lasted over 2 hours and the time just flew by. We were seated in the Bamboo Room at Borwn Derby - private, however we had to listen to the music from the main dining room which was a bit loud and distracting. We had 2 wonderful servers who were quiet, efficient, friendly and very professional. The manager of the restaurant also came in and spoke with us about his Disney experiences. The food was wonderful and special requests were welcomed although no one in our group had any. We were given a beautiful engraved/etched plate at the end. Eric personally inscribed them if we wanted. We also were given a plate stand and a printed copy of our menu with the date and our names on it. My son totally enjoyed this as did I. It was worth every penny and I will never forget it.
