Has anyone been to one of these lunch/dinners at the Auberge de Cendrillon.

I am thinking of maybe booking it for our next trip but would like to know a little more about it. Which Princes and Princesses are there? Is it like a normal character meal where they come to your tables? Also how much did it cost?

Also if there is anything else that might be useful to know.....

We went at Easter soon after it had changed into a character meal. It was really good.

Look at DLRP Food (Sorry dont know how to add link) to see menu and price. We liked the food as we found it typically French as opposed to theme park food although there isnt a large choice

Also read my report in Restaurant Guides thread on this forum as there are photos and a run down of the meal.

There are different Princesses there each time but usually at least 2 with their Prince. They come to your table.

DH & DD went on our trip at the start of July. They said it was really good, but was a free for all around the princesses, not what they had expected. DH asked if the princesses were coming round the tables and was told that they usually did, but obviously they weren't going to do anything about keeping children at their tables that day! He did request for Belle & Snow White to come to the table, which was arranged & DD got her photo taken with them (& their princes). He didn't attempt to take on the scrum to meet anyone else (not sure who they were), but they enjoyed the meal.

We went first week of July. Had checked out the set menu before we went. It is quite limited and very expensive at 48 Euro per adult and 20 Euro per child. But we were willing to pay this to avoid the usual scrum that is involved in meeting prncesses.

When we got to the restaurant, w aske for a table near teh dancefloor, but were seated right down teh back in a booth. Not long after being seated, Cinderella arrived with her prince, as did Snow White. They danced, and we were told we could go up to the dancefloor to watch. When the dance was over, we were told to return to our tables, and the princesses would see us individually. My daughter was in full Cinderella costume and she was ecstatic. Cinderella said hello to her and told her that she would come to see her at the table. However, the princesses were constantly being approached on the floor, and after waiting for her to come, Cinderella left without getting to our table. I was told that she might not reurn and my daughter was devastated having been promised by the princess herself. Snow White came to our table and then there was a break.

20 minutes later, Belle and Sleeping Beauty arrived. Again, there were kids approaching them on the floor, and it was only after I complained that one managed to make it to the rear of the restaurant. I noticed that those sat at the front of the restaurant were staying for the longest time, with none finishing their meals all the time we were there. They were lingering over coffee and thus the princesses could not make it to the back of the room. Each set of princesses only had an allocated time slot, and because people were being a little selfish and not staying at their table, we lost out.

In the end, I managed to ensure that Sleeping Beauty came to our table also. She was lovely, as was Prince Philip, and they made a big fuss of my daughter and son. All in all, I would say that it is much preferable to the long queues at the castle stage, but make sure that you are not passed by. If everyone behaved themselves in here it would be fantastic, but I felt hat some kids were encouraged to run around after the characters, spoiling it for others.

If you decide to go, ensure you are not seated at the rear of the room and be prepared for the menu as it is quite limited, especially for vegetarians. The price includes water and wine, but this usually means 1 half glass of house wine each so don't get excited!!

What time did you have your Princess lunch?

I'd like to book it for me and my DD on the one day we intend spending the whole day in the Park (including doing EMH am) - so what are the timing options? When is the earliest time you can arrive at the restaurant for the Princess lunch?

Thanks,

Elaine

I am not 100% sure, but I think the first seating is 12.30, and it runs until about 4.00pm. We booked for 2pm, as we wanted to be sure that we got a fair share of princesses. If you book too close to 4pm, they have to go to prepare for the parade, and if you book too early, they are still greeting people on the castle stage. During our lunch, there were 4 princesses available (Snow White, Cinderella, Belle and Sleeping Beauty) so I think this is the optimum time to go.

If you are booking it, request a table near the dancefloor!!!!

Thanks so much for that reply Scald, that'll help me plan the day :goodvibes .

We went on a sunday at 11.45 and met two Princesses (Snow White and Cinderella)and the mice from cinderella too ,even though we were at the back of the room.

I would advise asking for a table near the dance floor though as I think it would be nicer. It was quite quiet when we arrived it got busier nearer 1 pm when we were leaving. No-one was being encouraged to follow the Princesses so everyone had them visit their table. We really enjoyed our meal and the children also got a gift (our two got cinderella mirrors which were retailing in shops for about 8€)

I would definitely recommend it :thumbsup2
