Hi, I just booked this for my husband and dad. Does anyone know anything about it other than it is at the Brown Derby? I hope they get a good imagineer! My dad knows I booked it, but it is a surprise for for my husband.

Thanks

We did it last summer and it was great! We had Cathy Carver who was the head interior designer of the room we were eating lunch in AND the Cinderella Castle suite, as well as many other notable things. Here are some pics.

I'm so glad you asked this question. I'm taking my mom to this in August and had been debating about it up until I made the ADR. Now I'm really looking forward to it!

WE (DH, BFF, I ) Did this during our May trip and enjoyed it. WE had a nice lunch and chat with our Imaigneer. IT was something I'd do again but not every trip.

I had a terrific time. The lunch is served in a lovely private dining room. The food is wonderful and the service is elegant. Our Imagineer was an artist and there was lots of time to ask all of our questions and chat. He signed a commemorative glass plate for each of us at the end of the meal. I will be doing another lunch on my next trip!

Yay, I am so glad to hear this is still going on! I read last month that it was being discontinued and I was so bummed. I am planning giving my DBF this for his birthday!! Thanks for the menu pics also

i thought it was 60 days out to book this? please advise because i am at 90 days today. thanks

I booked the lunch for our trip in August and I had to wait for the 60 days out to book. I can't wait!

It is 60 days. Sorry. I won't be doing this in September now because I had to turn my itinerary upsidedown because PI is closing and we want to spend the last two nights that it's open there instead of in the parks.

We had a great time when we went! Everything was personalized, the name badges, the menus, and every party even gets a plate. Our imagineer, Jason, was great. Really nice and knowledgeable. He signed everybody's and wrote a little message. Jason had done a lot of work on the Studios, and was works on the monorail messages... from please stand clear of the doors to the informational ones! It was a great experience!
Here is the plate:

* Just a note with the plate. The wrap it up in bubble wrap, then stick it in a Disney pizza box and leave it at the podium in the front, so you don't have to carry it around in the parks. Just come by on your way out to pick it up

We did this in Aug. My DS,16, hopes to become an Imagineer (I have my serious doubts. We just received his report card for the last quarter at school, and it is not pretty). It was a great time. Even my 10 yo DD had a great time. IF we ever go back to WDW, we will do it again. Have fun. :thumbsup2

Where do you call to get this? My husband would love this! Wait, I WOULD LOVE THIS, TOO!

Call the regular Disney Dining line (same as your ADRs). If I recall, I had to give a credit card to hold but paid after the lunch. It was a lot of fun - next year, I'm hoping to do Dinner With An Imagineer at AP (if it is still going on). They only do it every other Thursday, and our trip has been on the wrong Thursday for two years in a row now :(

My DH and DS did this a few years ago. They did the lunch. It is cheaper than the dinner. I believe they do it 2x a week. Well they both loved it!!!

DH said imagineer was extremely informative and talked about many unknown facts about WDW and how certain rides came to be. Food was excellent and he said the time flew by. They actually stayed 2 1/2 hours.

I believe each group holds up to 8 -10 people which is nice because it is a small group

On they day my family went they only had six people which made for an even more intimate group.

They both said it was the best! and would both do it again.

btw, when boys were with imagineer DD and I were getting pedicures:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks for the post on this. Allears says that this lunch is offered on Mon, Wed, and Friday. Does anyone know if these days are still accurate? The article on Allears looks a little outdated since it mentions that the lunch is at Brown Derby in MGM instead of DHS. I'm hoping to schedule this for my son during our Christmas trip. I'm hoping for Monday, 12/22. Is the price still $60 + tax and gratuity?

Thanks for any information! I already have my calendar marked to call at 7am on October 23!

The days are accurate as of last Fall, at least; the price is about right.

But just call 1-407-939-3463
