At most of the sit down restaurants, particularly in Epcot WS, are the portion larger for Dinner than they are for lunch ? If not why do they charge so much extra $$s for the same meal at dinner ?:confused3

probabaly because more people will go to a "sit down" dinner. In order to get people to eat in places like that and not counter service, they have to lower prices. Thats just how I see it.

I know in Nine Dragons.. portions are about the same for lunch and dinner. Not sure about others.

In my experience, lunch portions at WDW are about the same as dinner portions. They are huge! There are exceptions, of course. Steaks at lunch tend to be a couple ounces smaller than dinner. Dinner is a "traditional" sit down meal.........most people do it..........so the profit margin is higher! This is not just at WDW, but restaurants everywhere have a higher price at dinner.

For me, because I watch my weight, I prefer my "large" meal to be at lunch. Gives me a better chance to "work it off" and the added bonus is that it is slightly less expensive! :flower:

IME, lunch portions are a great value and ample, but dinner portions are even larger. Some WS restaurants do fairly significant menu changes between lunch and dinner so its worth checking to make sure the lunch menu meets your expectations. Lunch entrees are often simplier (Le Cellier offers a much more sandwich heavy lunch menu than their fancy entree loaded dinner menu, San Angel Inn used to, at least, have a much more Tex-Mex lunch menu than its dinner menu). But some restaurant have near identical menus and portion sizes at lunch and dinner (IIRC Teppenyaki does, and now charges the same price).
