Lunch recommendations for Epcot resort area?

We will be visiting DHS all day but plan just before lunch time to leave to dine elsewhere. We want to enjoy rides in the morning and then return in the late afternoon to see the Osborne Lights and maybe Fantasmic. Also, we enjoy hanging out at the Epcot resorts.

We're game for anywhere at the Boardwalk, YC and BC and Swan and Dolphin. We won't have hoppers so won't be able to go into Epcot. We prefer more casual eateries but are still game for almost anything. Any recommendations?

Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club is good for burgers and sundaes.

Beaches and Cream can get very busy at lunch time.
Very popular, and little seating.

If it is a nice day - for a semi-quick meal, try the Boardwalk Pizza Window.
Take the boat to the BW and it is right there. Then you can go to the Bakery and/or the Candy store on the BW and have dessert. You will be eating outside for your meal. There are tables and chairs on the BW for guests to use for snacks. It serves from noon to mid-night.
You may be able to pre-order your BW pizza, I am not sure.

In the Dolphin - try the Dolphin Fountain - take the Boat to the S/D, walk into the Dolphin off the boat dock entrance and turn left - it will be very close to the boat entrance. Decent prices and if you have an AAA card, show it and you will get 20% off your total check. They also have great ice cream there.

Either place - you do not need a reservation.

They offer a dessert bar which is great.
Call to conform that they will be open when you plan to visit, they are not always open for lunch.

Thanks for the ideas. We love Beaches and Cream but it does get awfully crowded. I had forgotten about the Dolphin Fountain and I have heard of Fresh Mediterranean but it has been a while. I'll check these out.

Any other recommendations? It's surprising to me how few full serve restaurants at the resorts serve lunch.

Cabana Bar and Beach Club at the Dolphin! Excellent food and really really pleasant poolside setting. We just loved it! You do kind of need nice weather, or at any rate it helps to make the experience special.
