Lunch or dinner at Sanaa?

Which do you prefer and why?

We go in winter when it is dark at dinner, so I prefer lunch so that I can see the animals on Sunset Savanna.

We went late at night, our ADR was maybe 8:30. Even had been sitting anywhere you would see the animals we wouldn't have since it got dark soon after we got there. We were seated almost at the very back of the restaurant so while technically if you looked over the heads of other diners you might see an animal the time wouldn't have mattered anyway. Were I to go back (which I won't had a horrible server and not so great food) I would go at lunch.

I think lunch too. in the summer it's a nice way to get out of the afternoon heat and to enjoy the animals (if you don't get a window table you can spend some time before/after eating on the savannah). Its also a nice way to get out of the busy part of a day at AK. we like to be at the park for rope drop, have lunch at Sanaa, then head back to the park to close it out, since the park is least busy early and late in the day

I've been at both lunch and dinner and much prefer lunchtime. For one thing, lunchtime is more relaxing and quiet, much better for sitting back and watching the animals. For another thing, I love the tandoori sandwiches on naan bread and those are only offered at lunchtime.

We've only done lunch, which was outstanding.............the best part of lunch was having the window seat with a savannah view! Watching the animals was just so cool................. If you're going during the late spring and summer you can get the same feel at dinner. If you're visiting when the sun goes down early.........you loose the fun of the savannah.............now the food will still be great............but great food and the animals..........that's my call.......LUNCH!

We went at dinner time around 6 and saw tons of animals! We went on our Animal Kingdom day since they close earlier. Worked out perfect for us

We usually go on our Animal Kingdom day and try to get an early dinner reservation so we arrive when it's still daylight. Last time we went they had just fed the animals and they were very active. After we were done with dinner it was dark but we walked back outside and there was a castmember with night vision binoculars which my sons loved!

We prefer the lunch over the dinner.

. . . the appys and salads are the same
. . . the lower number of people eating
. . . the ability to see animals on the Savannah
