I was just checking out the menu database for the Blue Bayou, and it only lists one entree for lunch (Portabello Mushroom and Couscous Maque Choux). Does anyone know what else they are serving. Monte Cristo of course...

I am trying to decide which reservations to make...my DH is a bit finicky, LOL

And do we think the menu going to change much for Ariel's Grotto when the WOC goes to a Princess meal?

Oops forgot to mention at the bottom of the menu it says 3/11 so it should be fairly accurate.

AG meal is the same for WoC or the Princess meal, it won't change at all unless they are changing the whole menu.

Ya, pretty sure that's 3/2011. :) Just saying :)

Do you know if BB will serve Onion Soup if we request instead of the gumbo? I know they serve it next door to at Cafe Orleans, but we are going for a steak dinner. I need my onion soup with my steak dinner :)

I have no idea, be prepared for a "no" answer tho. I love FO soup, it's absolutely my 100% favorite....but, I always get the Gumbo at CO or BB because it's so good. :)

Last year I asked for a sub and was told no, but never hurts to ask.

I went to Blue Bayou for lunch on Sunday and was completely disappointed compared to the dinner menu. Ended up going back on Tuesday for dinner. I won't ever eat lunch again lol

Hope I do not have that experience

I think it's just cause I really love the filet mignon and they don't have that at lunch so I had the roasted beef strip and it had a lot of fat in it

Thanks for the responses :) It will ask, but won't get my heart set on it. Might have to "force" myself to lunch at Cafe Orleans to get my onion soup and pom frittes on.

I'm second guessing myself now, LOL. My DH and I enjoyed our lunch at Cafe Orleans so much on our last trip. He really enjoyed the Monte Cristo, and the Pomme Frittes, and I loved that Gumbo!

But he's never eaten at the BB...hmmm....can you do just dessert there?

They don't get mad (well your server may not be super happy because the check is so much less) but they don't have very good desserts there anymore. Personally I think it's because so many people were going just for dessert, they felt they were losing money , I have no idea if that's right of course, it's just my opinion. :) They used to have a killer cookie boat dessert, chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a boat served with whipped cream and ice cream, it was soooooooooooooooo good, but it's been gone for some time now. :(

you know it kind of makes me sad really when I think about the MC and how it is now....used to you could only get it at BB and i think its still only during lunch and it was HUGE...I could never finish it...but every trip I planned a visit to BB...then one day I ordered it and noticed it had really REALLY shrunk ...then i found out CO was starting to sell it for cheaper and I went there but alas, it was tiny as well and it just didnt taste like it used to...it was way greasier than before so I gave up eating it...however, I did later find a recipe for the actual BB MC and I made it myself...its pretty easy and yummy...I dont particularly care for anything in CO except the gumbo but I do have to say that BB makes the most AWESOME jambalaya that Ive ever had...I dont like Jazz Kitchens at ALL...I like my jambalaya HOT and spicy and BB delivers::yes:::thumbsup2
