I have an ADR for lunch at Le Cellier on our first EPCOT day, based off of how everyone here raves about it. However, I think that the girls (my fiancee's daughters, who will be 5 and almost-8 at that point) would enjoy the Garden Grill character meal better now, and enjoy something like Le Cellier more when they're older. I haven't called for an ADR yet, I want to make sure that I want to give up my Le Cellier one first!

Plus I've always wanted to eat at the Garden Grill. I remember watching it go around as a child, plus I like the idea that they grow their own food to serve there! I'm thinking if we take the girls there in a few years we'll get the infamous pre-teen/teenage :rolleyes2 . I also feel like I got the Le Cellier ADR because everyone ELSE wants me to go there (including my mother!) not because it's something I want to do.

But if the Garden Grill is really :crazy2: I'll just keep what I have :)

Have never eaten at LC but have eaten at Garden Grill. I can tell you it was my 11 yo DD favorite place that we ate last month. She has requested it again next year. She loved everything about it: the food, the characters, the fact that the restaurant moves. My husband and I could pass on it and never think twice about it. We thought all the food was overcooked and bland, not that much atmostphere. But I must say the character interaction was the best of any restaurant. We saw all the characters twice and Chip and Dale were incredible with our daughter, AND they are her favorites. Which is why she was so excited about it.

I can tell you that I have eaten at LC and the food is delicious. My daughter was much younger then and was not impressed by the characters yet so she didn't care that there were none. However, I have described LC as not being kid friendly in terms of the atmosphere. We went to GG this past February and loved it (not to mention that we were named Family of the Day). My DD2 could not contain herself during the entire meal. The food was good but the character interaction was the best. In my opinion, I would take the kids to GG and save LC for when they are older. Either way, enjoy!

Yeah, that's what my gut says... they will appriciate a more "fine dining" experience in a handfull of years. Right now they're more in the chicken nuggets stage... well, the younger one anyway, the older one is getting more adventureous :)

I've just heard some pretty bum reviews of the food... and I just read something about them changing the menu and it's not as good as it used to be? Did they change it TO family style or AWAY FROM family style?

I've also heard that the Chocolate Moose is gone from the kids menu at Le Cellier as well... :(

When we were there, they had changed back TO family style. To me (and I must say that I AM the world's pickiest eater) the food was average. On the other hand, my family said that it is someplace that we will continue to eat at during future trips. The all loved the food. I guess everyone is different. But as I said, the character interaction was great and our server was as nice as she could be.

Definitely Garden Grill for their ages. LC is nice (for us, it wasn't it our favorite) but we were there for quite a while and our 4 yr old got bored real quick. It's a smaller restaurant and usually crowded. I'd save LC for when they are older.

My 3 and 6 year old loved the GG! the character interaction really is great, and the kids liked how you could see the Land ride while eating. We were there the last week of March and it was family style--they brought out mac and cheese and chicken strips for the kids and then a platter for the adults, I can't remember what! but it was decent enough. The dessert was bread pudding for adults and decorate your own cupcake for kids and my DH wanted to get the cupcake for himself instead and the waitress indicated the menu was changing soon and they were getting rid of the bread pudding.
The chocolate moose is still available at LC, just not on the children's menu. It's only on the adult menu, but we had it in March as well.

GG is the one place my DD6 remembers. She loves that it moves.
We liked the food. We thought it was one of the best meals we had...especially for an 'all-you-can-eat'.

We love Le Cellier for lunch, it is so good! I dont like the menu at Garden Grill at all so I would not go there.

I've been to both places, and although Le Cellier is my one of my fav restaurants in Disney, I would recommend GG for you too. GG's food may not be as remarkable as some other Disney restaurants, but it's still quite good. In addition, younger kids will be more impressed with the colorful ambience, the characters, and the moving restaurants.
