Hello everyone!

I foudn this messageboard recently, and now I've been addicted. I'm a HUGE WDW addict, and love planning out our vacations. I've been working on an itinerary for our next vacation (December 2006), and have run into a few questions with my dining plans.

First of all, my husband is a CM, so we've enjoyed the CM 20% discount on dining for quite some time. Of course, in honor of the latest celebration, they've changed the policy wherein we cannot get discounts on dinners unless they're after 8:30 pm. Some restaurants do not offer dinner discounts at all, and others I'll have to make late or be ready to pay full price. (fun fun). Does anyone know if they offer a dining plan for CMs? I'm not sure this would work out cheaper, but it just occurred to me that something like that might even exist.

I'm going to have a large group along, including a couple of picky eater kids, a couple of adventurous eaters, and some adults who will go along with whatever I suggest. I have a LOT of favorites that I've fit into the schedule, but I'm having a little bit of trouble with lunch ideas.

1. Has anyone tried the Chef's lunch at Restaurant Marrakesh? I'd like to give this place a try, but I'm afraid it might be too adventurish for the pickier eaters. I noticed that the Chef's lunch, as listed on the all ears menus area, looks pretty tame, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and thinks it would work for the not-so-foodies.

2. Chef Mickeys- I've heard such mixed reviews about this one! I'm wondering if it's worth squeezing in. We will already be doing one of the princess breakfasts and breakfast at CP, but I'm thinking that the little guys may appreciate seeing Mickey/Minnie etc. Normally, I'd do a dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern, but I'm not sure I could squeeze it in. Do you guys think that LTT would be a much better option than Chef Mickeys?

3. Similarly, we're going to buy tickets for the VMCP one night. Is there a way to go to the LTT around 5 pm or so if you have tickets to the party? I don't want to waste too much party time at dinner, but if we could get dinner during that normal day closing/VMCP opening transition time iit might be worthwhile.

Thanks in advance for the help!

We went to Marrakesh in May and had the lunch special- beef rolls with jasmina salad, chicken kabobs with rice, and apple crepes with honey and almonds. It was 17.00. It was soooooo delicious. The chicken kabobs sit on a tomatoe paste that is so good. Everything is lightly seasoned, nothing too adventerous. I like my food pretty basic, and this was my favorite meal- flavorful and fun. we are going back Feb 5th.

I had lunch at Marrakesh (chef special) and I liked it very much. I'm not a "brave eater" either. I tried Boma for dinner and didn't really care for the foods there. I tried a little of everything. I'm glad I had the experience. You should try Marrakesh...you'll never know if you don't. (DH enjoyed watching the bellydancer!!)

I love Chef Mickey's. I think it is great for large groups since it is a buffet. Everyone will find something they like. However, if you have to choose between Chef Mickey and LTT...it is really worthwhile to be in LTT before the Christmas party.
