Has anyone ever tried lunch in the dining rooms on Embarkation Day? If so, what is it like or how does it compare to Cabanas? On our last 2 cruises we enjoyed lunch at Cabanas, but now we have 3 small children and meals can be quite "busy". We were thinking Enchanted Garden may be a little easier and more enjoyable for DH and I this trip, if the food is comparable??

Enchanted Garden doesn't tend to have the same kids options that you'll find in Cabanas. It's definitely easier to maneuver inside though and our server even went up to Cabanas to bring some mac'n'cheese and chicken strips for our little one.

I have done both now and slightly prefer Enchanted Garden. It seemed a little bit more laid back and relaxed (being seated rather than having to find a table, having drinks brought to you, etc.) It is still a buffet, though, and they don't have quite as many choices as Cabanas if I remember correctly.

We prefer Enchanted Garden, but not sitting in a booth!

The one time we were sent to Enchanted Garden, it was because we didn't have a lot of carry-on luggage. The tables are closer together so there was less room for STUFF.

I can't wait! 90 days!

Agree; our family of 4 also felt the Enchanted Garden was very close with carry on luggage. We found Cabanas to have a bit more room. Plus once the girls were done eating they were off the the Aqua Duck.

We have done both with 3 kids. Our experience was that Enchanted Garden was less crowded so if you board later it was a little easier to maneuver with three kids and luggage and kids were easier to keep an eye on if they left the table to get something. The servers did help the little ones get seconds from the buffet though. We enjoyed cabanas only when it was not packed.

We tried Enchanted Garden for embarkation day, and found that there was not a large variety of food (mostly seafood), and the lines were pretty long (I think it took 25 minutes for my wife to get through the line). Cabanas was a bit more hectic, but they had much more selection, and the lines seemed to move faster.
