we've been to LC once before and frankly I was not impressed.. however, I thought about giving it another go since there was a change in chefs and all that.

But, out of curiousity, I was looking at Chefs and now I'm debating about a switch. We've never been to Chefs before.

Thoughts?!

I'm having a similar debate with myself. We've never been to Chefs, and we've been to LC probably 3 times for dinner. I think we're going to try something new...Chefs! Their desserts look great!

We just ate at both and liked them very much. Both places offer 3 course menus that are a good value and can easily be split by two people.

Favorites:

Le Cellier - cheddar cheese soup and burger (go here if you want a burger or beef)

Le Chefs - french onion soup and creme brulee (go here if you like cheese and want a french experience)

(all of these came in large portions)

DH and I LOVED Le Cellier - good steak for lunch, risotto was yummy, creme brulee very flavorful, wonderful pretzel bread and soup.

The kids loved Chefs de France- food was plentiful, quiche was excellant over all much lighter feel to it.

Both meals were great it really depends on your choice of expereince. I did like LeCelliers CB much better, but the kids loved the chocolate cake at Chefs. They also got to see Remy- from across the room- he missed our table :confused3

If you want steak go to Le Cellier, if you want a lighter meal then go to Chefs.

We plan on doing Le Cellier again this year and subbing Chefs for Biergarden since we try split up things we like with new experiences.

IMHO... "Chefs", although I completely agree with PP. Le Cellier is absolutely SUPER... but, for lunch, I'd have to do "Chefs".

We LOVE LeCellier :) We tried Chefs on our last trip & it was awful--everything from the service to the food. I know many people like it but it wasn't for us.

I love for LeCellier :thumbsup2

For lunch, Chefs is my absolute favorite. Their prix fixe lunch menu is one of the best values on property. I also like the cheese soup at Le Cellier though. I don't really think you can go wrong with either one.

Based on food alone, I would go with Le Cellier.

However, I loved the experience of getting to see Remy during lunch at Les Chefs. When we went, that was the only time to see him. They may have expanded it since then. The food was also good at Les Chefs, but I'm not a very big fan of French food. DH on the other hand LOVED his crepes.

IMO, if you have never tried it, then go for it!

This trip we are trying Les Chefs, it has great reviews and we want to see Remy :)

Lunch at Les Chefs is very good, far better then dinner, IMO. If I want a French dinner I do Bistro de Paris. Le Cellier also offers a great lunch and dinner. So, I guess it depends on what type of cuisine you really want! Good luck with your decision!

Someone posted about splitting the 3 course lunch at Chefs. Do the restaurants charge a plate fee for splitting meals?

Never ate at Le Chefs but we had lunch last month at Le Cellier and highly remommend the Chedder Cheese soup and Cheesburger. Unfortutely I got a big bowl of the soup and had too many pretzel breads that when my burger came I only was able to eat a quarter of it. The burger was very good and I should of saved it for later but did not!!!

Le Cellier has wonderful cheddar soup and their steak is really good!! For dessert we had a maple creme brulee and that was also yummy! Hope this helps! :-)

I have never eaten lunch at Chefs, but I have had dinner there. The food was good, but not excellent. I have had lunch and dinner at Le Cellier, and it used to be one of my favorite places at WDW. However, the last two times we visited, we had horrible experiences. We were rushed, and I had to send my steak back twice...it was so rare it could have walked away! The chef came out to talk to my friend about her food allergies, and acted like he couldn't really do anything for her. Come on people, this is Disney! Every other place was so accomodating to her. I won't be back. If you are looking to try something different, I would go with Chefs. We did see Remy when we were there....so cute!

I have never seen a post about a share fee. It would still be worth it though. After the soup, I could only eat half my sandwich and a couple bites of the creme brulee.

Thanks, Eastern. We like to split meals, especially when there's no hope for leftovers in WDW (I'm far too lazy to carry them around).
