We thought it might be more relaxing to head out of the Magic Kingdom for a lunch break. Which one of these restaurants/cafes would you recommend and why? Other suggestions not listed?

Do you have kiddos? I have heard they like Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. We have never been but have heard good things.
You might check out the menus for the options at those resorts up there on allearsnet.com. They generally even have a listing of whats available in the food court at these resorts. It might help you make a decision!

We just did this last week. We had a 12pm lunch at Kona on our Magic Kingdom day. It was so easy to hop on the monorail and go enjoy a nice quiet and relaxing lunch! My kids loved it too! I thimk going to a resort for a meal is a great way to take a break from the parks!!:)

Did you have ADRs for Kona lunch? Or was it a spur-of-the-moment idea?

We had a great lunch at WCC last December. It was lovely to take the boat over and look at all the Christmas decorations :santa: We also thought the skillet was excellent value, particularly at lunch :)
