LUNCH BOX NOTES: Let's make a collection!

Oh, I like the coupon idea! That's a nice way to mix it up when I can't think of any cute note sayings! These little notes are really making a hit with DD, and it helps her to practice her reading too!

I got my girls a coupon booklet from Halmark cards and it has tons of neat things in it like "This coupon entitles you to an extra hour on the computer" or "This coupon entitles you to pick what's for dinner", all sorts of neat ideas.

I like to slip one or two of them in my daughter's lunch box and since she never knows when I'm gonna put one in her lunch box it keeps it exciting.

I have 2 different coupon books that I got at Halmark. My DD LOVES these. They also had a pad of sticky notes, each has friend and love sayings on them and an illustration. They were in the same display as the coupons. I mix them up.

I also tuck in a Pokemon card now and then just to mix things up.

My DD is about to start 2nd grade and every day she got a little note or drawing or coupon from me!

I do this too! Since DD was in kindergarten, now she's in 4th! My friends all think I'm a dork, but my daughter LOVES it! She and her friends always look forward to seeing what's in the lunch box each day. I started with a post it pad in bright colors with a sharpie stuck in the same drawer that I store straws & baggies in. I would just write little things like... Hope your day is GREAT!!! Love you sugar. Then became notes she could read all by herself, then I started doing cards, jokes, small surprises, stickers or candy to share (only 12 in her class), right now we are doing our Disney countdown calendar this way. I use Mickey heads from Home Depot and write the number of days in the Mickey and the words days till... on the bottom and on the back I write things like (Getting soaked on Splash Mountain, we visit Germany, Apple Pie with Donald - Philharmagic!) We are on day 11! Today was Princess Palooza! & princess stickers to share with her girlfriends.
