What do people do for lunch while they are working in the parks? Do they bring lunch and if not is there an employee cafe where the food is discounted that they can eat in? It is too expensive to eat at the resturants in the park every day so I was wondering what people do.

The parks have cast member cafeterias and places to keep packed lunches. The food is reasonable and I personally like the Mouseketeeria in MK! Costumed cast members can't purchase food on stage anyway. Guests should never see you eat, drink, smoke, text/talk on the phone, or purchase anything in costume.

to save money I recommend packing your lunches :)

PB&J errr day

99% of the time I brought my lunch. However, when I worked IG, and had a longer shift I'd grab lunch from France (just changed my shirt)

Most people bring their lunches or buy something in the cast cafeteria. If you want, you can buy something from the parks on your break as long as you aren't in costume. Some people will just change their shirt or wear a sweatshirt if they choose to grab something in the parks.

I always packed. They provide refrigerators and microwaves at your location too, to help heat stuff up or whatever. Packing is the way to go, but a lot of the time I didn't have time to pack something, so I'd buy. But walking all the way to the Mouseketeeria from the front of the park where I worked sometimes just takes too long to be worth it. And with my location in EPCOT I really was too far from the cafeteria in order to have time to eat so I had to pack.

I packed more towards the end of my program, but if i bought things, i tried to go as cheap as possible. at mk, there are also a few smaller places more towards the front of the park to catch something to eat, but my favorite was the mouseketeeria for sure! if we had a longer lunch during pac, some of us would make the trek to the mouse for food. Our breakroom wasn't very big, so even if we brought food, we would take it to eat in one of the cafeterias.

There were a few times I packed food-(only when I had no money ha!), but most of the time I bought my lunch there. As people have said, the Mouseketeria was good. I got Subway a LOT, which was good though, because I have a problem with finding one thing I like and sticking with it and eating there almost everyday forced me to try different things. Where I was though in Toontown, I was about 3 minutes away from Cosmic Rays so I'd wear an undershirt and just take my shirt off and run over there and get a bacon cheeseburger with fries and eat the fries then save the burger that I couldn't finish for my next break. I went other places too, but one thing I will NOT suggest you do is go to get a dole whip when a parade is about to start (unless you're close) I wasn't thinking about what time it was, I just knew that I'd been craving a dole whip all day, it only took me like five minutes to get over there, but coming back was terrible because nobody wanted to let me through and I couldn't exactly say "I work here move along" haha.
