My niece wants to eat in the castle but we have eaten breakfast before an were wondering about lunch? Thanks for any info!

We ate lunch there in November using the current menu but before they included the photo package. The appetizer was just ok, but the main entree was good. The dessert was refreshing, but not decadent.

We're going back for lunch on our next trip. The breakfast offerings don't appeal to 1/2 of our family, and the dinner gets less-than-great reviews.

Personally, I've opted to pay out-of-pocket for our meal there and use the dining credits elsewhere.

We had lunch at CRT in February and loved it. We thought the food was very good, and you just can't beat being in the castle! It was our first time eating there, and was the highlight of our trip.

We had lunch in the castle last Sept and really enjoyed it. But we won't be attending this year since it's gone up to 2 credits. :sad2: My dd's enjoyed the pretzel dogs. I had the salmon and dh had Major Domo's pie. The food was good but again not worth 2 credits to us.

Thanks for the replies. If it was my choice I wouldn't waste the credits but my niece, 8 years old picked it and since this is a special trip (I always wanted to treat them), I think lunch it is. Her twin brother picked the Garden Grill, because it is the restaurant that turns.

Honestly, I do think it's worth doing once, just for the experience. :wizard:

1) Good and sound economical choice ! ! !
2) Dinner would be about $40/adult after tax & tip
3) That is about $20/dining coupon (2-used)
3) Even with counter service, can't add to $40 for the day.
4) You could have LOST $15-$20 in food for the day.

NOTE: When you use the dining plan, you should analyze it just like Enna! Using coupons for breakfast or lunch or dinner shows is USUALLY a poor choice for the dining plan.

The only time I would go to CRT now that they have increased the price/credits would be for a situation like yours - to treat a girl in your nieces age range who wants to eat in the castle with the princesses. It may not be "worth it" dollar wise, but the experience for her will be well worth it.
