Would love to get feedback on:
1. What did you order (or ate at the buffet)?
2. When did you last eat there?
3. Why did you vote the way you voted?

TIA!

I feel like a broken record giving this review of Tony's, but I thought it was the worst meal ever at Disney. I had the chicken parm, gross. I think their tomato sauce ruined the dish. My son had the spag/balls, it was disgusting. I tried the meatball and couldnt swallow it. The cesar salad was wilted too. I wouldnt go back there. I went a few months ago. I also wasnt impressed with our server. From what i've heard from others, ordering a steak is the way to go. Everyone who has had the steak said it was very good. :confused3

I've never had a bad meal at crystal palace. Always yummy there. Plus the characters are great, and the place is so nice. I cant remember exactly what I ate at the buffet, but i think i pretty much tried it all! haha.

We really enjoyed Crystal Palace on our last visit. I have put it off for years and now I am kicking myself. The food was really good. The characters were great and the location is perfect for lunch or dinner.

I have never been to Tony's but I have read several bad reviews, but you can't always go by that. I have heard great things about LTT but my kids are picky eaters and would not like the food there.

How about the Liberty Tree Tavern?

That's what my DH asked. We ate there last year for lunch. My DH had the pot roast - he loved it. :lovestruc I had the veggie pot pie and it wasn't very good. Tasted like it was made with canned veggies. Appetizer salad was just OK. I thought it would be fun to try a new place. We've never eaten at Tony's and we've had breakfast and dinner at CP, but not lunch. So, you would vote for LTT over the other two?

Yeah, I read your review and that sounded really, really bad :scared1: I was curious if it was an off-day or if it's regularly gross.

Good to know! Thanks!

How about the Liberty Tree Tavern??>>Liberty Tree for lunch or dinner is DELISH!!!! I would highly recommend it. It has a unique menu. Where else can you get a pilgrims feast for lunch?? check out the menu here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=87

I have heard great things about LTT but my kids are picky eaters and would not like the food there>>> really?????? they wont like the food there? Did you know that at liberty tree (for lunch) they serve things such as cheese burgers, pasta, pot roast, pilgrims feast (turkey dinner type), salads, etc??? For kids they have mac & cheese, meaty macaroni, sliced turkey, or pizza, amongst other side dishes to go with it. For dinner you dont order off the menu, its a set menu. (But its VERY GOOD). Check it out at the website above.

I really dont think you can go wrong with either Liberty Tree or Crystal Palace. If you want more of a variety (and great characters) then i would go with Crystal palace. :goodvibes

I dont think it was an off day sadly. Lol. This place gets a lot of bad reviews unfortunately from what i've seen on previous posts. I went to this place with low expectations cause i also read the negative reviews. Boy i wish i listened. I regret wasting my time at this place. And im not a picky eater. The only thing i cannot eat is seafood! Everything else goes.

My vote was for Tony's Town Square. I had ordered their Shrimp Scampi (Without the Asparagus) and I last went there in August 2010. Personally I enjoyed it and wouldn't say no to eating there again in the future.

I loved Tony's when we went in February 2011. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and the zucchini fries. It was a great meal and we will be visiting again when we return in September.

We really enjoyed Crystal Palace. The last time we dined there was in 2008. The food and characters were great. We ran into "The Rock" the actor/wrestler there.:goodvibes

It was so crowded and they were turning away people in droves. But once you're inside you're good to go. And the line for the ice cream machine was super long because it kept breaking down. But worth the wait. Never been to Tony's.

We didn't have a great time at Tony's but that was because of the service rather than the food so we'd hope it was a one-off and we are planning on giving it another try on our next trip.

Crystal Palace was great for the characters but the breakfast buffet is much better than the lunch buffet in my opinion. However my veggie DF said there was a great selection for him :)

I didn't vote for either because I cannot recommend either of these restaurants. Tony's was awful the last time we were there a couple of years ago and from most reviews it doesn't look like it's gotten any better. We haven't done CP for lunch but we have done it a few times for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is good, I cannot argue that. However, the dinner the last 2 times we went there was downright awful. Dishes that were supposed to be hot were cold, the food was pretty bland and tasteless and the service was pretty awful. I can't imagine that the lunch is any better than the dinner.

My suggestions would be either LTT or The Plaza if you want a TS or CHH for a CS if you want to eat in MK, a pre-park breakfast at Kona or a late breakfast/brunch at 1900 PF (Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Pooh and Tigger are the usual characters). We like to get one of the last ADR's at 1900 PF (which is usually around 11:15 or so). We usually have a breakfast pastry at the resort, head to MK for RD, do some rides and gather a FP or 2, before heading over to brunch. When we get back the lines are a little lighter since it is now peak lunch time and our FP's are usually ready to be used.

Seems CP or LTT would be the better choice. Would love to see any recent pictures of the lunch buffet at CP. TIA!

I've never been to Tony's, but I would not recommend Crystal Palace. Besides getting to eat in the pretty building that's always lit up at night (yes, that's why my mom wanted to eat here ;) ), it's not any good.

We went and they had food that was good but not great and not nearly worth what you have to pay for it.

We also waited and waited and waited for all the characters to come around. Our waitress was not that great, but of course, that could happen anywhere.

Overall, though, it just wasn't worth what we had to pay for it or the wait we had to do for all the characters.

awesome!!!

We eat there every year, last time was April 2011. Salad is fresh and fruit is yummy. My son liked the rolls, meatballs, roasted chicken. My DH and I loved the mediterranian chicken dish, and those awesome curry noodles!!! The mashed potatoes were so good too! We love how everyone can have something they like and finish it with a bite of something sweet! We think Pooh and friends are ok, but we don't go there for them! We just smile and wave as they go by. My DS 11 does get up to give them a big hug and we all get back to our lunch! Or dinner... which we have done in years past too. Sorry if this was too long, but for our family Crystal Palace is yummy, convenient and hits the spot every year since 1997:flower3:

1. What did you order (or ate at the buffet)?
2. When did you last eat there?
3. Why did you vote the way you voted?

TIA!

1. We've been to Tony's twice and have ordered pizza, pasta, salads, calamari, and their NY Steak. At the CP we ate the buffet.

2. Both in 2009

3. I dislike most buffets. Food for the masses is not my favorite. Tony's had good food with great service and did not feel like a cattle call.

I chose Tonys

1. We had lunch there on 08 but have had dinner there many times since then, the last time in May of this year

2. I had the meatball sub and DH had the calzone

3. I picked Tonys because I do not like buffets unless they are for breakfast

BUT...

I would pick The Plaza over both of these places
