We have never been to Citywalk and it was a hard decision about where to eat lunch but the lure of palm trees and Jimmy Buffett songs won us over. We were seated right away with no reservation at about 1:00. The atmosphere was great A++++. Our server was friendly and efficient. I HAD to try a frozen margarita and it was excellent. The two teens started out with a garden salad that they enjoyed. Then things went a tad downhill foodwise but I think I have to blame ourselves and the heat more than the food. The two teens had chicken quesadillas which they thought were so so. My friend had the meatloaf sandwich (the waiter said it was Jimmy B's favorite) and it was ok but she thought it was dry and not what she had hoped. (Of course I teased that that's what you get when you order meatloaf). I ALMOST ordered the cheeseburger in paradise. In retrospect I wish I had! I got the shrimp and lobster pasta salad. I should know not to order shrimp of any kind when I'm away from home. Nobody does shrimp like we do in Louisiana. The pasta seemed dry and overcooked. The service and atmosphere would make me go back, I'd just pick something different from the menu.

That's the best burger in the whole resort!

When I was there in june and the only thing good at jimmy buffets was the nacho's and I tried the cheese burger in praridise and it was the worst burger I have had in my life and it was a good thing you didn't have it but it was a fun place to sit and eat.

I've had the nachos and the quesadilla and both were really good.

I had lots of vodka there one night.

I know that doesn't help your cause at all, but it was fun so I just thought I should mention it.

Thank you

:rotfl:

We go to Margaritaville twice on every trip and are planning on doing so again on our trip in a few days! The atmosphere and service can't be beat, and we've always found the food to be the same way. We all really love it. The nachos are literally the best nachos ever! You won't find better nachos anywhere. The island chicken salad, coconut shrimp, conch fritters, pulled pork sandwich, cheeseburger in paradise, and crab cakes are also delicious. You honestly can't beat Margaritaville, and we're comparing it to some of the top restaurants in Manhattan (we've actually found the food to be THAT good!) Maybe it was just an off night?
