Hi All,
I was wondering if any of you had suggestions on a good place for lunch at GF. Everything seems to be open for breakfast and dinner, but not lunch. Thanks!

Definitely try the Grand Floridian Cafe! We always make it a point to have lunch here no matter where we are staying.
They have terrific lunch sandwiches, my favorite being the Earl of Sandwiches.....an open faced club with boursin cheese and fried onion straws. They also make great desserts, I love the strawberry shortcake when it's available. Yummy! Oh and that's if you have any room left after lunch as the portions are big!
I'm sure you'll enjoy any meal here.

Debbie

I have been to Grand Floridian Cafe for a couple of lunches and dinners. They are not serving dinner now. I had some great chicken soup with Mickey pasta in it. They also have a really good hamburger that they served at dinner. I don;t know if they have it on the lunch menue though. The restaurant is casual yet still a bit formal feeling and it is a nice quiet, pretty place to spend lunch.

For something a little later in the afternoon, and a little pricier, try the tea. It's served in the pretty little lounge off the main lobby, overlooking the pool.

You can chow down on itsy bitsy tea sandwiches and scones, and really get filled up easily.

They serve a zillion different types of tea, as well as coffee. I believe they start serving tea around two.

It's something altogether different, and unique to the Grand Floridian.

Thanks for all of your advise everyone! I just made a PS for lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It looks just perfect for what I had in mind!

Great choice. Like Debbie my DD loves the Earl of Sandwich. It's huge, she's tiny yet the first time she ordered it she ate the whole thing!

Well done for getting your ps for Grand Floridian Cafe. We ate there last summer and it was tremendous.

You'll love it there. We found it very relaxing and blissfully quiet. Food and service exceptional.
