Hi, we're going out on a cruise, but will have 1 full day prior to the cruise. Staying near the port, but was thinking of maybe taking a drive to Disney's Vero beach to walk around and have lunch. We did it quite a few years ago, do they still let you do that if you don't have reservations? Thanks!

You can certainly visit the resort and have lunch. You will be directed to use the parking lot on the west side of highway A1A and can use the walkway through the under road tunnel to get back to the east side of the road. The lunch options will be the Wind & Waves Marketplace selections, since the restaurant itself is only open for breakfast and dinner. A full bar is also available. The Green Cabin Room does not open until later in the afternoon. You can take your food to an outside table or take it inside the glassed-in porch area of the restaurant (which is available for seating until about 3 or 3:30 pm for people who want to eat indoors).

The Green Cabin Room is also open in the morning (I believe it's 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.) So it would be possible to squeeze in a late breakfast/early lunch if that worked.
